"Fine, Riley," I continued. "Take your shirt off."

He looked at me for a moment before obeying my demand. I eyed the muscles pushing against his skin just like when we were brawling, but this time there was more of a view. Gauze and band-aid wrap clung around his torso and a few more bands went up around his shoulder to cross his chest. How did I not notice that?

Slowly getting up, I stepped towards him, his cold eyes staring down at me mixed with his towering height was quite menacing if this was any other scenario. Given, he was still menacing, it wasn't to bad.

I reached a hand out to the peeling edge of the wrap, undoing it slowly by passing the bundle behind his back a few times. The wounds were obvious now, tugging against the strings of the stitches and still quite gory.

"Their messy. You did this yourself? The care?" I ask, glancing up at him. He nodded curtly. "Why didn't you get a nurse?"

"I don't trust the way she fixes wounds, or her. I'm skilled enough to do it myself." Ghost replied. My eyes traced the old scars that dotted his torso as I thought.

"But your trusting me right now to see them?"

"Yes."

"Why?" I questioned, my eyes finally meeting his again.

"I like the demeanor you give off. It feels trustworthy to me. And it perks my curiosity."

"Hm." I hummed. "During out brawl, I hit you a lot on where these wounds are. Did I... hurt you?"

"No." His answer sounded hollow so I couldn't tell if he was being honest or not. Though, I seemed a bit off to me.

I slowly reached a hand up to his chest where the gash was. My fingertips brushed agaisnt the tender, raw skin surrounding the main wound. I noted the tenseness in his shoulders diminish slightly as we continued.

"Can I properly help you? Since your so-called skills seem to be lacking in the care department." I snicker up at him. He nodded.

"Yeah."

"Then sit." I requested, pushing him back in the chair carefully. He didn't stop me either. "Do you have like, a bigger first aid kit somewhere?"

He nodded, gesturing at the other end of the room where a box was sitting. I went over, grabbing some cleaning alcohol, bandage wrap and 2 clean rags. I set the stuff down on the bed, taking the alcohol and pressing rag to nozzle, letting it seep in. Turning back to him, I pulled up a stood, leaning in closer to Ghost.

"It's gonna burn. A lot." I warned, letting one of my hands rest on his side to steady him while I pressed the clothe on the wound. He winced a tad, as expected, but kept him mouth sealed shut. I glanced up at him face, which he was struggling to fend the twisted expression of pain off his face.

After cleaning it up, gentle not to mess up the stitches, I had him turn in the chair so I could get the back.

"Wait-" He choked out, steading a breathe. "Okay."

I swiftly cleaned the others, quick not cause any more pain than I already had too. I could see his hands in fists as he kept his mouth shut.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." I apologize, finishing up. The rags were bloodied and had some dirt and whatnot on them. He managed to catch his breathe. "Done."

Dropping the rags to the floor, he shifted back to face me. With a sharp look, he fixed me, though I was confused on what I did wrong.

"Don't do that."

"Don't what?"

"Don't apologize."

I pursed my lips slightly in surprise. So oddly polite for a literal killer machine. I thought he would be a bit ruder in all honestly.
