The gentle rays of sunlight filtered through the windows, casting a warm glow across the room. Outside, a clear blue sky stretched endlessly, creating a serene atmosphere that belied the bustling activity within.

Soft scratching of pen on paper filled the air, a rhythmic sound that had become the background music of their daily lives. Yet beneath this steady hum, tension simmered, subtle but unmistakable, like a pot nearing its boiling point.

At the center of the room, a wooden desk stood proudly, nearly buried beneath towering stacks of documents. Behind it sat a figure, her snowy fox ears drooping with fatigue. The ethereal light from her halo tinged the back of her hair with a soft blue, the halo itself a marvel: a seven-node neural network encased by two shimmering, tangible rings that floated languidly above her head.

Though exhaustion was evident, she pressed on, pen moving with practiced efficiency. Sheet after sheet, her hand danced in a relentless battle against the never-ending paperwork. But as soon as one stack was completed, another seemed to appear in its place, a relentless cycle with no end in sight.

Finally overwhelmed, she sighed deeply, letting her face rest on the warm surface of the desk. "Ugh... I can't do this anymore..." she groaned, her voice muffled against the wood.

Despite the Academy's technological advances, the stacks of paperwork persisted as a formality, an inefficiency she couldn't escape, no matter how much it frustrated her. Having said that, in her two years as the head council member, she had implemented countless optimizations to increase productivity. Yet, even with all these seamless intricacies that boosted their efficiency, some things remained stubbornly unchanged... no matter how hard she tried.

For example:

"Rejected!" A sharp voice cut through the air like a knife, shattering the peaceful atmosphere.

"What do you mean, rejected?! This proposal is one step ahead for Millennium's innovative development!" Another voice retorted, indignation clear in every syllable.

The pen on the desk rolled over, disturbed by the vibrations of their escalating bickering. As the argument continued, she made a hesitant attempt to intervene.

"Girls... Can you tone it down a bit?"

However, her words fell on deaf ears as one of the juniors slammed a thick folder onto the table. "How many times do I have to tell you? We don't have the budget for something that pointless!"

Realizing she had been completely ignored, the president tried again, her voice hesitant. "... Um... Can you hear me?"

Before she could say more, the first-year with short black hair suddenly turned to her, "President!"

Startled by the sudden attention, the fox-eared girl yelped, "Y-yes?!" as she sat up straight, acutely aware of the dangerous glint in the black-haired girl's eyes.
