Okay, FINALLY done with Volume 2 and finally reached the 120k word mark.

Fun fact: Originally this was written as a single chapter for the Epilogue of Volume 1. But as I noticed the pacing and I could add more details, I ended up making full blown backstory and lore.

First initial reaction in making this: Wow, I like this Ai character I made. Too bad she's gonna die because I want to do something in the detail I added in Volume 1 Chapter 2.

Midway through writing, somewhere around V2P2, I was like damn... I'm starting to get attached to her. I'm feeling conflicted to have Ai die.

Then there's V2P4... F*ck I teared up while the flashback where Kodou sets up the date for Ai and Sensei. And to further add salt to the wound, I referenced the 'Omniscient recipients' as a title made by Himari. With the game stating that Himari says that there are only 3 recipients, the salt deals double damage since it's a perfect fit with the rest of the recipients being Ai and Rio.

At this point I was scared killing off Ai.

So, I thoroughly planned V2P5 but felt like it's not impactful enough given the state of the story. So as history dictates it, I started the rewrite from here.

... And after rewriting the story. I began V2P5.

I hated it. I hated writing it. I hated it because I couldn't stop crying.

Btw for the comment saying that I missed an opportunity to call a knock-off 711 store 911. Thank you for the great idea that made the Millennium Tower burst into flames.

Not only that, I have to analyze the fight using all my braincells so that the fight make sense.

If Ai simply left, she still needs to escape while avoiding Tiferet's attack, hence Ai will also use the mystic particles from her halo to escape.

But the mystic particles from her halo is limited so she will die by either her halo shattering from instability or by blood loss.

If Ai gave up her life in exchange for the Kodou, it will be pointless since Kodou is already dead by the time Ai arrived in an attempt to save Kodou.

Having Ai and Kodou survive from that situation is impossible. Since Kodou is already dead upon Ai's arrival, and Ai will die even if she prioritize on escaping, this automatically renders this option pointless.

So in order to save one of them, Shekinah needs Ai to survive long enough to make contact with Chroma/Iridescent (chose the name Iridescent cuz it sounds cooler).

Ai will not be awaken as a Nameless God, because she couldn't meet one of the requirements, hence Ai will meet an unnecessary end, which is bleeding to death.

Kodou, on the other hand, meets all the requirements so having her soul make contact with Iridescent is Shekinah's way to save her.

Although Kodou's soul was erased from trying to fight against Iridescent, Kodou's body was a hollow shell until sh*t happened.

For the requirements, and the details on what the locket did will be tackled on Volume 3, so I'll avoid spoilers by not talking about it.

Anyways, I was satisfied with how Volume 2 turned out... and I'm now scared to face the nightmare of Volume 3.

God... Lord almighty. Please give my ADHD brain enough motivation to write this volume which be 2-3 times longer than Volume 2.
