The entertainment district was bustling with activity. Bright lights and loud chatter filled every corner of it as you walked down the street, your target clear, towards a tall, handsome man. His striking blue eyes turned their focus to you.

Smack.

"I told you not to change your appearance when we go out together!" you scolded him. Gyutaro's eyes lowered, a sheepish expression on his face. 

"I wouldn't dare to ever see you otherwise. See those people talking about how well-matched we are? If they ever knew...you would be mocked for going out with someone like me. I don't want that. Please let me at least feel worthy of being your boyfriend, or even just going out with you." Behind his innocent pleading expression was his sense of inferiority. 

"It's as if the whole point of my existence is to give the whole world someone to mock."

You groaned.

"Whatever you're happy with." 

He took your arm, and the two of you were guided inside the restaurant by a waiter to a private booth. 

"So, what do you feel like having today?" Gyutaro asked, looking at the menu after both of you had settled at the table.
"I'm feeling indecisive today," you replied, glancing at the menu, "everything looks delicious."
"I heard from one of Daki's customers that their seafood is great."
"Sure! Sushi then? How's Daki doing, by the way?"

Before he could answer, a piece of obi snaked out from the floorboards. 

"Daki?!" you shrieked, recognizing the pattern and eyes. 

"Omg Y/N chan!! What a coincidence!" Daki exclaimed, feigning surprise. Gyutaro narrowed his eyes, suspicious. 

"Aren't you supposed to be working, Daki?" 

The piece of obi waved.

"That stupid customer made himself so drunk he vomited all over the place. It smelled soooo bad, and I have no more customers later so I swung by, " she complained, before turning to you and grinning childishly again.

"By the way, after your date with my brother, do you want a sleepover at my room? No one comes in after I'm done with my last customer, " Daki suggested. The obi wiggled excitedly. You nodded almost immediately. 

"Yay! Love you! By the way, the two of you better be careful if you guys are taking an evening stroll after this. I heard there are lots of bandits around lately." The fabric wrapped around you snugly, and reluctantly loosened.

"See ya~" And it disappeared again.

Gyutaro turned to you, obviously not very happy with your date being interrupted by his sister. You giggled and squeezed his hand.

"We still have plenty of time."

"So, sushi it is then?" Gyutaro closed the menu.

"Yes please. " You nodded.

The food turned out to be extremely tasty. With full stomachs, the both of you exited the restaurant contentedly. The sun had just set and the sky was a deep , almost-black blue. Many more people had come out to shop or dine. The lights felt even more blinding after coming out of the cozy restaurant. 

"Should we go somewhere quieter?" Gyutaro leaned down to whisper in your ear. It was an innocent, caring gesture on his part, to allow you to hear him amongst all the noise, but it sent shivers down from where his breath grazed you. 

You nodded, feeling tingly all over. He took your hand, holding it tightly, rubbing his thumb over your knuckles in a soothing rhythm that made you feel like curling up into a ball and falling asleep for eternity. The two of you slipped out of the crowd and headed towards a nearby park.

The park was usually crowded in the day, filled with young families, lovers, or even just people wandering to clear their minds. It was quiet now. 

You took a breath of the crisp night air. The extending branches of the tall trees partially obscured the crescent moon and the night sky filled with stars. Night had finally fallen. 

You wondered how much time had passed, with just the two of you strolling, sometimes in shared comfortable silence, and other times just sharing stories that happened after your previous date. 

There was a thump. A few bodies fell from the tree in front. Just a few more blissfully unaware steps and they would've fallen on top of you two. A feminine figure leapt down.

"Y/N! Big brother!" Daki grinned when she looked up. Your expression was one of horror. She quickly picked one of the men up by the collar. He was wearing a mask.

"They're a band of robbers, " she explained.

"They're still alive!" she quickly added seeing your (still) terrified expression, kicking the pile of men. A few of them let out pained groans. 

"You couldn't have been a little gentler?" Gyutaro griped. His arm was now around your shoulder, pulling you close.

"What would you have expected me to do?!" Daki argued, "they were so weak! And they were about to attack you guys!" The siblings glared at each other. 

"Um..."

Is this ending too abrupt? Hopefully I portrayed Daki's protectiveness strongly enough, hehe. Sorry for being late, again. I finally finished my exams though, so I'll have more time to write.
