Give 'Us' A Chance

CHAPTER 2

"I asked you something." There was no use of lying because he saw books in my hand.

Now be ready for the volcano eruption. 

Yeah, I sighed.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to waste your time on this bullshit." If he wasn't my dad, he would have been dead by now for calling these books bullshit. But I let him continue.

"You are 27 now, I am getting old day by day."

So be dead already.

"All you do is partying, reading books and being lazy around can u start being responsible I fucking told you to gain some experience but no nothing."
"I was wor-"

"Working? that's why they fired you. Now listen to me you are not supposed to enter this house until and unless you become a responsible man and have a job. Go wherever you want to go and only come after you are capable of taking over my company." 

I looked up to him with wide eyes only to see the door is slammed on my face. I mean seriously, I fucking don't remember the last time he showed love or any appreciation towards me. 

But who cares? I am used to it now, and I made my way to Ben's house. I pressed the bell, and he opened the door. "What happened?" He asked letting me in. "Nothing, now I am also kicked out of my house."

"WHAT?"

"Yes"

"But why?" And I told him everything about dad's conversation not about the bookstore because he will tease me and I ain't in the mood. 

"Your dad is literally THE HITLER-II. But it's ok try to apply for job again."

"I am not in the mood."

"Why are you so careless? It's good for you after all." But I gave no reply because I am tired now and wanna have some sleep. He then continued. 
"Ok fine, then I am gonna fill the forms for you." He grabbed his laptop and sat in the couch. I was so tired to even watch. 

"Fine just fill the form I am going for a sleep." "You definitely are a lazy ass." He said typing in laptop. "Nothing's new" With that I went to his bedroom and slept.

Today is Monday two days has passed and new year also. I am sitting in the couch and no call from anywhere I received not for job and not even from dad. Ben went for work.

Suddenly, my phone rang with unknown caller id, I picked it and was greeted by a female voice. "Good morning, I am Amber from Pixel Grace. Am I speaking to Ethan Thomas." 

"Yes, you are."

"Sir, you applied for the job of personal assistant."

WHAT personal assistant no, I di- uhhhh BEN. 

I am never gonna be a pa no matter what.

You have very high expectations. Firstly, you are not getting any job and now you are making excuses just go for it.

Yes, you have to.

"Hello?"

"Uhm sorry, yes? Uh yes I applied for it."

"Ok so sir, you have an interview, there will be two phases. In first one, our HR team will be taking your interview if u passed then in the second phase you will be having an interview by our boss."

Woah!!!

"Ok"

"So, sir the interview is on Thursday, this week at 8:30am. The address and further information will be email to you."

"Ok, thank you so much." with that she cut the call.

Ben just come home you are gonna be dead.

No worries, you are not even gonna pass the first phase.

Well, that's true. But I hope I get this job at least and then I will just take my dad's business and then life is all settled.
