SCARLETT POV
Oh, he is the same guy I met in that bookstore. That day, I didn't observe him much because I was lost in my world. I was damn excited for my new book. The moment, I purchased that book I flew away from there only to start reading that book and only to again get lost in a completely different world.
Isn't it amazing that how we just get attached to a fictional character, how we deeply love our main characters, and deeply hate the one who did bad to our main leads. As if they did something bad to us. They all seem so real that sometimes I forget to come out to this real world.
I have been reading novels since I was a teenager, but when I started my startup, I didn't get time to read any. Last month only I started reading again. Pulling myself out from the thoughts I saw this man sitting in front of me. He has black smooth, thick hair, brown eyes and confident as well. As, I saw him he was also in a state of shock to see me here, well I was also. But then I started reading his CV and my brows furrowed a little.
Because.... I was hoping for a nice work experience or at least nice grades in university but turns out he was failed in two semesters.
Pretending, we didn't see each other I started this interview in a professional manner.
"So, introduce yourself first."
"Good morning and thank you for having me here today. My name is Ethan Thomas, and I am 27 years old, and I have 1 year experience in Kryto company as a programmer."
Well, I know there was nothing much for him to speak about his work experience and all but still he was confident, and he has nice speaking skills. Appreciable.
"You are 27 right now and only have 1 year experience. Why so?"
He was looking hesitant. But a few moments later stated "Although, I have one year experience, but I am highly skilled in programming."
"Hmm, exactly programming, then why are you giving interview for being a PA."
He gave such an expression like he was about to be exposed. I mean, it can be that he wasn't getting any job and the one he got fired maybe because he is lazy?? Later he gave answer, not much satisfying. I leaned backwards in my chair, pen in between my fingers and quietly tapping it on the desk and started to ask him questions.
The only thing I liked about him was his speaking skills. Well, that is very important skill to have in a personal assistant. The interview lasted for 30 minutes.
"Ok, then you may go now. You will get a call if you are selected."
"Ok miss, thank you" With that he went away.
When, I will go home then I will decide whom to select. But right now, I wanna talk to someone. I grabbed my phone and dialed to my grandma.
"Hey, my sweetie. How are you?" her sweet voice always relaxes me.
"I am totally fine. What about you and grandpa?"
"We are also totally fine."
"Uhm... where is Lily?"
"Ah, she is sleeping right now. Came from her karate classes. Should I wake her up."
"Oh no no. Don't, let her sleep. Tell me where grandpa is?"
"Don't ask about him" She was pretending to be angry; she can't be angry from him. They are the sweetest couple I have ever seen.
"Why, what happened?"
"What happened?? Your grandpa said that I am getting old these days." Opps. I giggled hearing this.
"I mean he is not wrong, right?" She gasped liked she saw a ghost behind me.
