Soon after she hung up the phone in the middle of the man cursing at her. She wasn't going to deal with anyone being disrespectful to her. So she wrote to her boss, telling him to fire her co-worker and look for someone who was eligible for this position.
Seonghwa curiously watched her then decided to pull out a notebook from his bag and drew the back of her body. Her hair was past her shoulders, black and curly. She wore a denim jacket and black pants with sparkly boots on her feet. That was all Seonghwa could make out of her frame as he drew on the paper.
But before he could look down at his art, he caught a glance of the side of her face and immediately knew who she was.
"Samara?" He called out.
Everything was in slow motion as the young woman turned around to face Seonghwa. He smiled with tears in his eyes as she looked at him in shock.
"Seonghwa- He quickly stood up and gave her a hug.
The workers were confused at first but realized they knew each other.
Samara tightened the embrace with eyes closed before pulling away from him. "It's been too long, Seonghwa."
"You've been a stranger." He said then Hongjoong came over with his food in hands.
"Ou, I would like to have what he's having." Samara's stomach growled as she looked at the delicious sandwich in front of her.
"Coming right up," Hongjoong smiled at her.
An hour later.....
"So how is being a journalist like?" Seonghwa leaned on the table after they finished eating and she did the same.
"Not unless you tell me how it's like being a photographer." Samara smirked.
The last time these two saw each other was at high school. They were very close but Samara always thought that they were too close to be friends while Seonghwa thought having a future with her, he just could never confess to her because it was never the right time. The two parted ways before going to college and that lowkey broke his heart.
Samara and Seonghwa caught up on their life after college and now they were talking about her job.
"I was gone for awhile then came back to New York. My boss had me become his manager so I traveled with him to different places." Samara said.
"Where have you been?" Seonghwa asked.
"Milan, Bali, Venice, Paris, etc." She shrugged and Seonghwa was shocked.
"Those are literally all the places I want to go," He smiled.
Seonghwa always thought of traveling as a photographer but New York felt like a city he could never leave.
Unless it was for a good reason.
"Really? Well, I would love to go with you." She touched his hand softly, feeling how cold they were even though they were in a warm environment.
"And I would gladly accept," Seonghwa whispered as he took her hands and held them.
"We are friends, right?" She tilted her head but Seonghwa chuckled before squeezing her hands.
