3rd Person POV

As Titania and Shinsha were talking in the room, there was a knock on the fire, after which Rimuru and Ciel walked into the room.

"Mother, father!" Shinsha was the first one to react as she dove into Ciel's embrace. Ciel caught her and hugged her, but her eyes, just like Rimuru's, were fixated on the person that shouldn't be in this world.

"What are you doing here, Titania?" Rimuru asked, while patting Shinsha.

"Is that how you talk to your sister after not meeting her for so long?" Titania asked as she stood up from the bed and walked towards them. She stopped a few feet away and continued to speak.

"I have retired. So I thought I should find a good place to settle down. I know it's a bit too late for me to marry, so I thought I would just live the rest of my life in some backwater planet. But then Sakura came and gave me the coordinates to here and said that you were still alive, and somehow Ciel was too and that you had a daughter as well. So I decided, why not come and check it out. And voila! Not only do I get to see my cute little niece, I also fine a brilliant place to settle down and spend the remainder of my life."

"Why did you retire? I doubt it has been long since I died in my previous world. You should be at your peak right now. I doubt se any reasons that you will need to retire. Your nation has no one to replace you either."

"Don't worry. Everything's done and dusted. Just like Satoru, in the eyes of the public, I am dead."

"What? How?" It was Ciel who was surprised the most by this. She understood that fighting on the frontlines was no safe job. Every day would be a struggle to live. But, for someone as strong as Titania, it is rare to see them die.

"You really don't know what is going on in our world, do you? We found a mysterious portal about two hundred light years away from the site of death of that giant worm that Sakura killed.

The portal was a good few light years away from any habitable or industrial planet, so we didn't put too much focus on it, thinking it was just another portal connecting to another part of space.

Unfortunately. We were wrong. It was not a portal, but a tear in the very space time continuum. What came through that tear were nothing short hideous monsters that could only be called the harbinger of destruction. They would destroy everything around them and eat it, regardless of whether it was their enemy or ally.

They were like pests and there was no end to them. Since I was nearby, I was told to intercept them. At first, they were busy fighting amongst each other. But as soon as we arrived, they started to attack us.

We had the advantage at first, but soon their numbers began to overwhelm us. I lost the entire fleet I was commanding and even remember dying myself because of an explosion in my vessel.

But, the next moment, I was somehow able to open my eyes and was still alive. I looked around to see that I wasn't the only one. Every single one of my people who had fought against those monstrosities were still alive. There was a man whom I had not identified.

He was muttering something along the line of how they had managed to escape the core. I don't know what he was talking about, but he was definitely a dangerous man. I tried to catch him, but he disappeared.

He didn't even use any tools! He just straight up, vanished. No matter how much I tried to search for him, I couldn't get any information on him, until one day, there was a random letter at my work desk.

It asked me to come to a designated location. Once I arrived there, I saw that I wasn't the only one. Sakura and rest of the strongest people of the world had assembled there.

And the man who had managed to assemble all of us there finally introduced himself as Knox. Knox then said something about how he was the God of our world and so on.

Well, long story short, he wanted us to become Gods like him."

"That's quite...a tale." Rimuru said surprised. Ciel was busy trying to connect the dots and had already came to the correct conclusion that the monsters that had managed to escape were monsters belonging to the Chaos side.

"I know right? And he even asked us who would like to become Gods? Hahaha. As if any one would deny that. Well, everyone, but one, accepted after he showed us his true strength, will atleast a part of it."

"You rejected it, didn't you?" Ciel asked with a questioning glance.
"That's right. I rejected the offer. Just living for three centuries has been hard for me. Imagine living for an eternity. As if! I'd rather die than suffer an eternal life."

"That still doesn't explain how you died." Rimuru pointed out.

"Well, I just decided that I have had enough. So even though I did come back alive, I didn't tell anyone. I even told my people to fake my death. Now that their would be give Gods from our world, I doubt I will have to do anything. So i decided to simply retire. It's better this way." Titania said as she walked back to the bed and sat down on it.

"You don't mind me being a citizen of Tempest, do you?"

"Well, till the time you follow the rules, I don't have any reason to say no."

"I'm glad. Then I won't intrude in your family time anymore." Titania said as she made a beeline for the door and left the room.

"She's as free spirited as ever, isn't she?" Ciel said as her gaze continued to linger at the door.

"She is finally free from the heavy burdens she had to face. I guess she can finally show her true side now." Rimuru said as he shifted his gaze from the door to Shinsha.

"Anyways. It has been so long since I saw you Shinsha. Did anything happen?" Rimuru asked, to which Shinsha happily recounted her last few years. Rimuru had yet to receive any reports about the occurrences in the world, so everything he heard from Shinsha was new for him.

And so, the happy family continued to discuss what they had done well past sunrise the next day.
