The Glass House stood like a strange monument in the heart of the forest. Every surface gleamed, reflecting the towering trees and moonlit sky. It was a billionaire's eccentric fantasy: a mansion made entirely of glass. The locals whispered about it, but no one dared go near. Not after the rumors about the garden.

"Never enter the garden at night." That was the billionaire’s only rule.

But to a group of thieves, rules were meant to be broken.

“Are you sure about this?” Ethan whispered, clutching the duffel bag to his chest as they approached the towering house.

Jenna, their de facto leader, shot him an irritated glance. “Come on, Ethan. We’ve been over this. The old guy’s out of the country. Nobody’s here. It’s the perfect score.”

Behind them, Mason chuckled under his breath, adjusting his backpack filled with tools. “What’s the worst that could happen? We break in, grab a few million bucks' worth of art and jewelry, and get out. Easy money.”

“Yeah, but…” Ethan glanced at the glass structure towering over them. “What about the whole garden thing?”

Jenna rolled her eyes. “That’s just a stupid urban legend. The guy probably just doesn’t want anyone trampling his flowers. We’ll be in and out before anyone knows we were here.”

The fourth member of their group, Ellie, shivered as they approached the house. “It feels… weird, doesn’t it? Like it’s watching us.”

Mason scoffed. “It’s a house, Ellie. Made of glass. Of course it feels weird. You’re seeing everything.”

But as they drew closer, even Mason couldn’t ignore the eerie sensation. The Glass House was more than just a building. It was a reflection of the forest around it, the moon casting long, distorted shadows through the translucent walls. The closer they got, the more unsettling it became. It was as though the house itself was alive, watching them approach with unseen eyes.

Jenna took a deep breath and gestured to the others. “Alright, no turning back now. Let’s do this.”

They reached the glass doors, which slid open with an almost imperceptible hiss. Inside, the house was even more surreal. The walls, floors, and ceilings were all glass, creating an effect that made it difficult to tell where the room ended and the reflections began. Every step they took echoed unnaturally, bouncing off invisible walls.

“Creepy,” Mason muttered, his voice low.

Jenna flashed him a look. “Just stick to the plan. We get in, grab what we can, and get out. No wandering off.”

The group fanned out, moving through the open spaces of the house. The air inside felt too still, as though the building itself was holding its breath. Everywhere they looked, their own reflections stared back at them from countless angles, distorted and twisted by the angles of the glass.
