Todd flicked through his phone, scrolling past endless dating apps and hookup sites, his frustration mounting. No matter how much he tried, no girl seemed interested in him or his buddy, Mark. They’d spent the last few Friday nights drinking beers and binging on horror movies, and tonight wasn’t shaping up to be any different.
Mark, slumped in the ratty recliner, let out a loud sigh. “Dude, this sucks. Why does everyone we know have a girlfriend but us? I’m not getting any younger here.”
Todd threw his phone on the coffee table, leaning back on the couch. “Tell me about it. But I’ve got an idea. Something different.”
Mark raised an eyebrow. “What, ordering pizza?”
“No,” Todd smirked. “Better. There’s this app. You can... you know... hire someone. A call girl.”
Mark sat up, intrigued. “Wait, like an escort?”
Todd nodded. “Exactly. We split the cost, she comes over, we have some fun, and at least tonight doesn’t suck. What do you say?”
Mark grinned, his interest piqued. “Hell yeah, I’m in. Let’s do it.”
Todd wasted no time, reopening his phone and finding the app. Within minutes, he found a profile—dark-haired, curvy, and seductive. Her name was "Maya," and her reviews were glowing. Without a second thought, he booked her for the night, texting her their address.
“Done. She’ll be here in an hour,” Todd said, putting his feet up. “Time to get ready.”
They both hurried to clean up the living room, spraying air freshener and tossing empty beer cans in the trash. Mark changed into a decent shirt while Todd checked himself in the mirror, running a hand through his hair.
As the hour passed, their excitement grew. The thought of having an attractive woman in their apartment was something they hadn’t dared hope for in a long time.
Finally, there was a knock at the door.
Mark shot Todd a glance. “She’s here.”
Todd opened the door, and there stood Maya, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders, her eyes hidden behind large sunglasses. She was tall, curvy, and everything her profile promised. But there was something slightly off about her—her movements seemed too fluid, too deliberate, like she was imitating how humans walked.
Still, Todd pushed his doubts aside. “Come in,” he said, flashing her a smile.
Maya stepped into the apartment, her gaze sweeping over the two men. Her lips curled into a faint smile, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes.
Todd gestured to the couch. “Make yourself comfortable.”
She slid onto the couch, her body almost unnaturally still. Mark sat down beside her, already eying her up, while Todd grabbed a beer from the fridge.
