Tim POV:

Tim had just been getting comfortable in the Batcave, coffee in hand, sifting through reports when he saw Nightwing's tracker change course. Instead of heading back to the manor, Dick had taken a detour into a random alley in Blüdhaven. That wasn't unusual—Dick was known for his hero complex—but the sudden stop followed by no movement for several minutes set off alarm bells in Tim's head.

"What are you up to, Dick?" he muttered, pulling up the feed from Nightwing's suit.

The image that appeared showed two kids—one unconscious and the other holding a broken bottle like a makeshift weapon. Tim barely had time to process the scene before Nightwing's hand shot out, and the conscious one crumpled to the ground.

"Dick!" Tim hissed, tapping into the comms.

"Before you say anything, he was panicking," Dick's voice crackled through his earpiece. "I wasn't gonna fight him. This was just the quickest way to stop him from making things worse."

Tim sighed, rubbing his temple. "So you knocked out a scared kid."

"Technically, yes," Dick admitted. "But I did it gently."

Tim rolled his eyes. "And now what?"

"I'm bringing them back to the manor."

Tim nearly choked on his coffee. "You're bringing two random unconscious kids to our house?"

"Do you want me to leave them bleeding in an alley?"

"take them to a hospital"

"in Gotham?"

Tim pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine. But when B glares at you in disapproval, I am not stepping in to defend you."

Jason POV:

Jason wasn't expecting to be woken up at stupid o'clock in the morning by Nightwing dragging two unconscious teenagers into the manor.

"The hell is this?" Jason asked, watching as Dick carefully laid them on the couch.

"Two kids who need help," Dick answered simply.

Jason stared at them. The dark-haired one looked like he had been through hell—pale, covered in injuries, and looking like a strong gust of wind could break him. The blond, on the other hand, looked way healthier but had a split lip and a bruise forming on his temple—courtesy of Dick's 'gentle' knockout.

"Tt," Damian scoffed from the stairs, arms crossed. "You brought home strays."

Dick shot him a look. "They're kids, Damian."

Bruce entered the room then, eyes immediately locking onto the unconscious boys. "Explain."

Dick sighed. "Long story short? I found them in an alley, bleeding, and the blond tried to stab me with a broken bottle before I knocked him out."

Jason snorted. "So your solution was to kidnap them?"

"Not kidnap," Dick corrected. "Rescue."

Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose, already tired. "And did you check if they have any guardians? Any family looking for them?"

"I'll run their faces through the database," Tim said, already pulling up his laptop.

Jason just crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "They better not be trouble."

At that moment, the blond groaned and shifted, his eyes slowly fluttering open. As soon as he saw the unfamiliar room and six unfamiliar people staring at him, he bolted upright, eyes wide.

"Where's Nico?" he demanded, in a southern accent.

Tim sighed. "Yeah, this is gonna be fun."
