The news of the U.A. High hero course students’ attack by the League of Villains spread like wildfire. It was reported that the villains aimed to kill All Might. Seventy-four criminals were arrested, but the leader escaped, his whereabouts unknown.
The day after the attack, U.A. remained closed, its faculty holding a tense meeting with Police Force Investigator Naomasa Tsukauchi. They discussed the League of Villains and their recent involvement in the attack. Investigator Tsukauchi admitted that despite arresting seventy-four villains, he couldn't find any information on the perpetrators.
All Might noted that the ringleader, Tomura Shigaraki, displayed a child-like mindset and his plan was foolish and reckless. The investigator surmised that the criminals viewed Tomura as a leader because of the pressure a world brimming with heroes had put on evil-doers. At the end of the meeting, Principal Nezu suggested that Tomura was being guided towards villainy in the same way U.A. students were being guided towards heroism.
The next morning, in Class 1-A, the students discussed their appearances on the news because of the U.S.J. attack.
“Did you guys see the news?” Hagakure asked excitedly.
“Yeah,” Ojiro replied.
“Did you see how everyone in class was on-screen for a second? I didn’t stand out at all,” Hagakure stated, a bit disappointed.
“That’s true,” Shoji agreed.
“It’s hard to stand out looking like that, huh?” Ojiro added.
“But man, all the channels made a big deal out of it,” Denki said from behind.
“I was surprised,” Kirishima stated.
“Can you blame them? The hero course that keeps pumping out pro heroes was attacked,” Jiro pointed out.
“Who knows what would have happened if the teachers hadn’t come when they did,” Sero wondered.
“Stop that, Sero! Just thinking about it makes me wet myself,” Mineta panicked.
“Shut up! Be quiet, scum!” Bakugou angrily said.
“But man, All Might was great,” Sato awed.
“Yes, his strength is truly something to marvel at,” Tokoyami agreed with Sato.
“Stop talking and take your seat. Homeroom is about to start,” Iida announced, not realizing he was the only one who wasn’t in his seat.
“You’re the only one who’s not in your seat.”
“Morning,” Aizawa said as he entered the classroom, followed by Hina.
To everyone’s surprise, Mr. Aizawa arrived to class covered in bandages.
“Mr. Aizawa, you’re back too soon.”
“He said he can walk and talk properly, so Mr. Aizawa doesn’t have a reason not to attend,” Hina followed, taking her seat.
“You’re too much of a pro,” Denki added.
“My well-being doesn’t matter. More importantly, the fight is not yet over,” Aizawa said, his gaze serious.
“Fight?”
Everyone in class went silent, tension filling the room.
“The U.A. Sports Festival is drawing near,” Aizawa announced.
“That’s a super normal school event,” Kirishima stated excitedly.
“U.A. Sports Festival, where pros gather, and that’s the time students from the hero course and others get to shine. It’s a very big deal here in Japan. If I manage to stand out, will she notice me?” Hina said, deep in her thoughts, as everyone continued to talk in the distance.
