Amy & Ty's New Life. (Part 1 )

Chapter 6

"You said this week they'd be back."
"Nope, I did not. Get your hearing checked out old man."
Tim walked out mumbling under his breath.
A week Later Jack got a phone call off Dr Viriani, by the time they had finished talking Jack was actually smiling.

Amy and Ty were at the Airport waiting to board when she got a phone call from her Lawyer. He went on for a while then he asked her to make an appointment to see him when she gets back ASAP.

Tim turned up again Saturday morning,  and it was starting to sound like an old record player that just plays the same thing over and over again.
"Morning all, what a lovely day it is."
"I dare to ask what it is that you want Tim, because I know what your going to ask."
"Shall I ask it then."
"Go on, ask away."
"What time will Amy be home then."
Jack shakes his head back and forwards, "8pm tonight Tim. Please go and wait somewhere else, we have things to do."
Actually it was Lou who had things to do for when Amy and Ty get back.
Thankfully Tim left and said he'd be back tonight. Jack hoped that he'd have a few drinks and fall asleep.
Amy and Ty fell asleep on the way back, when they finally landed they felt a little more awake. Unfortunately  they still had an hours ride to get home.

They were half way back when their Taxi had to swerve and brake very quickly, the air was filled with screeching and metal tearing.
Amy and Ty had knocked themselves out when their heads hit the door frames. The Taxi driver was trapped and the other two cars who had hit head on creating the original crash in the first place, both cars were a mess.
Thankfully another car came upon the carnage. While they phoned for the police and EMT's, they checked on the Taxi and saw Amy and Ty both unconscious and bleeding from where they hit the door frames.

"Where are they Grampa, they should of been back half an hour ago."
Just then the house phone rang. They all looked wondering if something had happened to them. Jack answered.
" Good evening Jim, you working late. Oh okay , I'm listening,  ok Jim thank you for phoning us yourself."
Jack put the phone down and looked at the Family.
"Jim was letting us know that there had been a big head on crash on the main Trunk Highway from Calgary to Hudson, apparently a few cars ran straight into the wreckage. He's on his way there now and he'll  keep us updated as he knows Amy and Ty were due back tonight."
"Well they could be held up in traffic."
"They could be Lisa."
Suddenly that voice piped up after nobody heard him walk in.
"Sooo, are they back yet, you lot look like someone died. Mind you there's a right mess up on the main Highway, I saw two cars Head on, no way anyone survived that, and that poor Taxi Driver and a couple of other cars hit the debris. I came round the back way, they were cutting the poor taxi driver out."
"Amy and Ty aren't back yet dad, they were getting a Taxi home."
"Ohh shit "
The house phone rang again and Jack answered.  He put the phone down and told them all that they were going to the Hospital as Ty and Amy were in the Taxi Tim saw."

They arrived at the hospital and were told they could go through to the
A & E cubicles as they were both awake.
When they saw them, they sighed with relief, both had large Plasters on the side of there heads just above there temples but apart from both having a Headache and some whiplash they were fine. Ty was worried about Amy and the doctor had given her an MRI HEAD Scan, he gave her the all clear.
Jim had recovered their luggage and put it in the back of Jacks truck.
Within another half hour they were both discharged.
Amy and Ty both asked how the Taxi driver was doing, they were told that he would recover and be back at work in about three months.

They all came out of the hospital with Amy and Ty having an arm around each other when Amy stopped.
"Grampa, couldn't you get hold of dad."
"Ya so called father was at heartland with us, then when we got the phone call we all set off for the hospital,  I saw him behind us all, then he disappeared ."
"He turned up about Wednesday  asking where you were. I explained and he didn't react, then it was all about this horse he needed fixing by the following day,  given that it must of been 4pm. It took him a while before the fact that I'd told him you were both on your Honeymoon struck him, but this horse he needed doing by the next day couldn't of been that urgent because he brought it back on the Saturday, and then again today another  week later, I even told him that I didn't know when you would be back to work."
They arrived back at home  and Lisa made drinks all round.
They were sat in the Lounge area when Amy grabbed Ty's hand and quietly asked.
"Grampa, did you get an answer  from the Clinic."
"Yes Love, and the answer is, No he isn't, just as I knew he wasn't, way back then."
Lou just couldn't let this secret between her sister and Grampa go, she had to know everything.
"Who Isn't  what Amy."
"Lou, I am allowed some privacy and secrets for now. I will let everyone know when I've come to terms with it and understand everything about it. It will definitely answer questions and reasons."
"No Amy, you can't leave me hanging like this."
"I'm sorry Lou,  but you'll have to wait  okay,  Ty I'm going to bed, this headache is hurting,  think I'll take some more tablets "
"Yeah me too love. Goodnight all."

"Lou was about to say something when Jack shut her down.
"Leave it be Lou, they've just been in an accident  for God's sake.
Do you ever think about other people or just yourself and what you want. You and your father are so alike."
Ty and Amy were in bed cuddled up to each other.
"So this blood test thing was it good news or bad news."
"Well put it this way, I may be very much like my mum but there's no chance I will ever turn out like Tim.
I'll tell you more tomorrow when we both sit down with Grampa and find out the real story. Also I need to phone my Lawyer in the morning."

Jack was up early and went to feed the three horses they had, Spartan, Harley, and Paint. He fed the three horses then noticed another horse in the stall where Georgie kept Phoenix. She was away visiting  a friend and were both entering a Horse Jumping Show. Jack found a note addressed to Amy. Jack noticed that Tim had fed his horse and hung up a hay net he'd taken from Spartans Stall.

Jack was making coffee when Amy and Ty walked into the kitchen.
"Morning Grampa"
"Morning Jack".
"Good morning to both of you, although that may change when you read that letter that was pinned to Phoenix's Stall with a Horse in it.
Tim fed it and nicked Spartans Hay net for his horse."
""What a cheek, want horse fixed by 4pm. He knows what he can do with that. I'm, I mean we are to busy today
for that , if I  sort the horse out he will have to pay, cash up front. He's probably pushed it to hard, so he can have a few more days to chill out.
I'll put a note on the stall to say it's $600 up front. No family discount for him.
Jack looked at Amy over the top of his glasses and smirked.
