Y/n, Inoko and Rindo stood over Toshiro, who lay pinned beneath Inoko's weight. Her usually playful and light grin now held an edge of suspicion. The atmosphere was thick as if the narrow walls of the alley were leaning in to hear what was about to be said.

Toshiro struggled beneath Inoko's iron grip. His face was half-buried against the rough cobblestones of the alley floor. His reptilian tail flicked in agitation, and his white eyes looked everywhere except at Y/n.

"Toshiro?" called Y/n in a mix of shock and confusion. The sight of his old acquaintance shook his usual confidence. He stepped forward, his brows furrowed. "What are you doing here? And why the hell were you following me?" he asked.

There was no immediate answer. Then, Toshiro shifted under Inoko's weight before wincing as he tried to turn his head enough to meet Y/n's gaze. His eyes were wide, darting nervously, and he seemed to hesitate as if weighing every word before he said it.

Seeing this, Inoko's knee pressed into Toshiro's back, keeping him still as her eyes narrowed. "You know," she began with a grin that didn't reach her eyes. "I don't know you, but I would be more than happy to keep you here all night if you don't start talking," she warned him.

At her words, Toshiro gulped nervously. "Y-Y/n," he began, his voice barely above a whisper, trembling slightly. He tried to twist out from under Inoko, but she pushed him back down, her weight keeping him firmly in place.

"I...it's not what you think, Y/n," he began as he glanced at the alley entrance. "I can't...I mean, I shouldn't be talking here. It's not safe," he said, making the three pirates exchange a look.

Rindo took a step closer, the dim light catching the soft strands of her hair. "Why not? Who are you scared of?" she wondered before eyeing the alley behind them. "Are you being followed?" she asked, making Toshiro swallow hard, his gaze flicking between them.

He was visibly rattled, his eyes darting nervously, almost as if he was trying to see through the darkness to make sure they were truly alone. "It's...complicated," he said before looking at Y/n.

"There's a lot you don't understand, Y/n, but you have to believe me. I'm not here to hurt you or your crew. I just..." lingered Toshiro. "I just wanted to see you guys again," he admitted, making Y/n and Rindo frown.
