"What a welcome back!"
"Are you a parent?" The voice of a weak man asked at the door.
"Sure as hell hope not." Another, this time stronger and unfamiliar voice laughed on the opposite side of the door. "Who are you?"
After Katrina had sent Charlotte off to her friends house, the woman quickly teleported to the school, which now looked dismantled and abandoned. To see if her hunch was correct, and believe it or not, it was.
"I'm Hank." The hidden woman's heart dropped. Hank McCoy, the boy she had met 11 years ago, although she couldn't see him (which she really wanted to) Kat could tell by the sound of his voice he had grown up. "Hank McCoy, I look after the house now."
She thought about this place and the people so much. Especially when she moved closer to here about 9 months back. She was a coward for not reaching out to him and the other boys, and she knew that. And she hated herself for it.
Bringing her attention back on the men, she could not see from her spot behind the shrub. "You're Beast?" The gruff voiced man asked. "Well, look at you. I guess you're a late bloomer." Katrina frowned, really wishing she could see them.
Trying to turn, leaves and twigs made noises under her feet, making her squirm and cringe, but the sound of hand banging against a door covered it up.
She always wondered how Charles got this place into such a state. Everything was overgrown, and it looked like no one lived here. She heard these rumors of this place, but she never believed them. She had moved back to this town not long ago in hopes of being reunited with all her friends and even introducing them to Charlotte, but all that went down the gutter when the incident occurred.
Peaking her head over the dark brown, rotting shrub on top of an old ruin wall, her heels not helping, even when she was 5'7 feet she could still just barely see them.
What she saw was the back of the man in full brown wear trying to fight his way into the school, but Hank was fighting back. He was strong due to the serum he took, also making him blue.
They continued to squall until eventually Wolverine won, breaking through the door, knocking Hank back. Katrina wanted to run. But she was frozen. She didn't know what this man wanted or who he wanted. Was he with the government? No. He did not look like he was in the government.
