Qinglong Mountain had been in decline for quite some time, unable to make a mark. However, thanks to Xu Zhen's newfound fame after the great scholar knelt to her and the recognition from rescuing the children, Qinglong Mountain's rise was now inevitable, even though the Emperor had yet to bestow rewards or praise. Many of the teachers and students dispersed from Baihong Academy had flocked to Qinglong Mountain, some drawn by its reputation and others by its affordable tuition.

After receiving a shower of praise from Mr. Zhao, Xu Zhen felt a bit embarrassed and quickly replied, "I was just lucky. That book wasn't my original idea; it was compiled and copied from others."

Mr. Zhao said, "Using knowledge to save lives is commendable. There's no need to be modest, Teacher Xu."

Xu Zhen exchanged a few more polite words and prepared to teach. Mr. Zhao called her back and handed her a booklet from his desk.

Xu Zhen asked, "What's this?"

Mr. Zhao replied, "It's the imperial examination questions you transcribed earlier."

Xu Zhen was startled, fearing her question compilation had been discovered.

Looking at Mr. Zhao, she whispered, "Is there a problem with my transcription?"

Mr. Zhao, puzzled, replied, "Of course not." He added, "I just wanted to suggest that you start explaining these questions today. After all, the autumn exams are approaching, and many students here will be participating."

Relieved that it wasn't an issue with her work, Xu Zhen waved the booklet and cheerfully promised to fulfill her task. She then headed towards the lecture hall.

It was summer, and the heat was oppressive. Despite the shade from the surrounding trees, people were still sweating profusely.

Xu Zhen thought about her days teaching in rural areas, where, despite the rundown conditions, there was at least air conditioning and occasionally a chilled watermelon. Now, as a temporary teacher, she had no such luxuries and had to wipe her sweat by hand.

Lost in thought, Xu Zhen continued walking along the wide corridor and saw a woman in blue standing against the wall. The woman looked familiar.

Xu Zhen glanced at her but couldn't recall who she was and decided to leave.

Unexpectedly, the woman called out to her.

"Teacher Xu," the woman said.

Xu Zhen stopped and looked at her.

The woman asked, "We met at the previous gathering, do you remember me?"

Her tone wasn't friendly. She had a thin face, fair skin, and an arrogant expression, not like an ordinary teacher.

Xu Zhen examined her closely but still couldn't remember, so she honestly replied, "I don't remember."

The woman in blue added, "I debated Daoist philosophy with you."

Xu Zhen had a vague impression but still couldn't recall.

"What do you want with me?" she asked.
