Between a Cook and an Agent

"(Y/N), the Newspaper reporters are already here and there's an uproar outside." Kaku spoke as Kalifa was sitting next to me on the couch outside of Ice-bar's room trying her best to comfort me despite tears streaming down her eyes as well. 

Ever since I discovered my brother's unconscious body late at night, the first thing I did was immediately call the Police and then the entire Galley-La crew. Kaku and Lulu were the first ones to arrive and I knew they had a hard time prying me away from Icebarg. 

Seeing him in that state, on the ground covered in blood was a traumatizing sight. 

"Who would do this..." I whispered to myself but I knew the others heard me. 

"I don't know (Y/N). After investigating the office, it doesn't seem like anything was missing nor did it look like a robbery. My question is, why would someone have a reason to shoot our Mayor?" Kaku continued speaking, clearly upset at the situation going on. 

"Does the whole town know?" I quietly asked, looking up at Kaku and Lulu who were standing in front of me. I could tell my eyes were swollen from all the crying. 

"Unfortunately yes." Lulu answered. "The whole town is in panic once the reporters heard what happened. At this rate, we're in big trouble (Y/N)." 

I didn't say anything and proceed to get up from the couch and enter my brother's bedroom. Tilestone was standing outside the bedroom on guard duty. I could see a look of sympathy and anger on his face as he patted my shoulder upon entering the room. The Doctor was still working on my brother's vitals and ensuring the best care for him. "How is he Doc?" 

"He's unconscious but in a slight coma right now." The Doctor answered. 

"Can you tell me about his wounds?" I hesitantly asked. 

"How was he shot?" Kalifa tearfully added. 

"He was shot twice from the front and thrice from behind." The Doctor answered. "I don't know what happened in that room last night, but from what it seems, it looked like an assassination attempt. You're lucky to have found him or else it wouldn't have looked good." 

A nervous gulp escaped from me as my eyes widened at the imagination of discovering my brother's body too late. 

I looked to my right and watched Lucci leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and a dark expression on his face. It was something I've never seen before but I can't blame him. Someone has attempted to kill Water 7's Mayor and I'm sure everyone is just as upset as I am. 

"I'm...going to take a walk Kalifa." 

She was holding my hand the entire time as I gently let go of her. I needed fresh air as my body was slowly going into panic mode. 

I stopped by Icebarg's office and watched the Police taking pictures of the crime scene. The furniture in the office space was indeed tossed around and Kaku was right. Nothing was missing. These fuckers that tried to kill my brother were definitely searching for those blueprints. 

Looking at the ground, there laid a common white mask with red and blue streaks on each side and the lips painted bright red. Wearing a mask to hide their identity...Just wait till I get my hands on the culprits. 

"Princess (Y/N), I'm sorry but I need to ask you to step away from the crime scene. You've seen enough and it's best for you to rest up." One of the Police Officer said as he approached me. Gently placing his hand on my back to guide me back out the room. 

Nodding my head in agreement, I stepped out as he proceed to continue his investigation. 

"(Y/N)..."
