"Where are the blueprints to the ancient weapon Pluton?" Lucci asked again coldly.
His eyes were dark and emotionless. They weren't the same pair of eyes I've admired all these years.
Looking at Robin, she paid me no attention. Her eyes were staring straight at my brother.
Tears kept streaming down my face as anger finally took over me. "You guys have been undercover this entire time? What have these past five years meant to any of you!?"
Kalifa looked my way before re-adjusting her glasses meanwhile Kaku and Blueno just stared at me, stoic and unbothered by my question.
Lucci, however, let out a slight chuckle. "Yes, we were undercover for five years. We never stopped working and spent the entire time gathering information. Unfortunately we are running short on time so we must achieve our goal as soon as possible."
I could hear Icebarg grunting in pain as blood soaked through his clothes. I wrapped my arm around him to shield him from more harm. I could see that my gourd is literally within arms reach. But how can I grab it without any consequences?
"If you're thinking of putting up a fight against us, I suggest you don't." Kaku warned, he clearly saw me eyeing the gourd as well.
"You've seen how we easily defeated Paulie. You think you have a chance against us?" Lucci added, taunting me as I glared at him.
"Fuck Cipher Pol. Fuck the government. Fuck you for playing with my feelings Lucci." I gritted my teeth as more tears streamed down my face.
"I thought Cipher Pol only goes up to eight. Not nine." Icebarg mentioned, looking at each of their faces.
"Our group possess a certain privilege where we couldn't reveal ourselves to the public eye." Lucci answered.
"What sort of privilege?"
"We work in the name of justice." Lucci began his speech with a slight smirk. "Those who are uncooperative toward the government are sentenced to death."
My grip on Icebarg tightened as I was angry to hear Lucci's response. "That's bullshit Lucci. It gives you no reason to kill in the name of justice. Why the hell do you want this stupid blueprint so badly?"
"That's something I am not obligated to answer."
"Too bad for you but the blueprints are not here. So you should all just LEAVE!" Icebarg yelled.
Lucci took a step forward and kicked Icebarg right on his face. This caused him to fall backwards as I watched in horror.
"Icebarg!"
As I tried to go to my brother, I felt a hand grab my arm and pulled me up. "You're staying right here Princess." Lucci said as he held my hands behind my back. His grip was firm, preventing me from squirming around.
"Let go of (Y/N). She has nothing to do with this and you know that." Icebarg said through heavy breathing as he slowly sat up, spitting out blood in the process.
My heart shattered seeing my brother like this. I could feel my body shaking in fear as I was deathly afraid of losing him like how we lost Tom.
"Kaku, check his pulse." Lucci ordered. Kaku dropped his heavy mask, walked up to Icebarg and held his arm up, putting two fingers against my brother's wrist to check the pulse.
I felt Lucci snake an arm around my waist as two of his fingers laid between my neck and jaw, checking my pulse as well. Even if my hands were free, I know his arm on my waist was holding me in place.
