Karayami felt the familiar warmth of Roshik's embrace from behind, an unexpected yet comforting presence. She let out a soft sigh, recognizing it mix of affection for Roshik and concern for Damian brewing inside her.

"I don't like it when you hug him," Roshik murmured, his voice low and slightly possessive. It was a playful tone, but the weight behind his words was unmistakable. Karayami turned her head slightly, catching a glimpse of his serious expression.

"You know Damian is just... well, he's my friend," she replied, her tone steady. Yet, she could feel her heart racing, an undeniable warmth creeping up her cheeks at the way Roshik held her.

"I know," Roshik said, his grip tightening slightly. "But you're mine, and I don't like seeing you close to him like that."

Karayami raised an eyebrow, a smirk dancing on her lips despite the flutter of emotions within her. "Are you getting jealous, Roshik?"

"Maybe," he admitted, pulling away just enough to look her in the eye. "You mean a lot to me, and I don't want anyone else thinking they can get too close."

Her heart swelled at his words, and for a brief moment, all the frustrations and complications of their lives faded away. She felt herself leaning into him slightly, seeking the comfort he always provided.

"You're not just anyone," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath. The vulnerability in her words surprised even her, but Roshik's presence made her feel safe enough to express herself.

Roshik's expression softened as he leaned in closer, their faces just inches apart. "Then let's make sure they know that," he said, his voice low and confident.

In that moment, everything felt right, and the world around them seemed to blur into the background. Karayami couldn't help but smile, her stoic exterior melting away under Roshik's unwavering gaze.

Then, as if pulled by an invisible thread, they both leaned in, the world around them fading into a soft haze. Then, just as the air between them grew thick with unspoken feelings, the school bell rang, jolting them back to reality. The bustling noise of students filtering through the hallways broke their moment, and Roshik reluctantly stepped back, his expression shifting from intensity to a more playful demeanor.

Roshik brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering on her cheek. "See? That's what I don't want," he said softly, a grin spreading across his face. "Just us. No one else."

Karayami felt a rush of warmth spread through her, a mixture of joy and embarrassment as she glanced away, a small smile playing at her lips. "I guess I can agree to that," she replied, her tone light yet filled with sincerity.

As they stood there, wrapped up in their moment, the bustling school around them felt distant. The noise of students chatting and laughing faded into the background, leaving just the two of them in their own little world.

"Come on," Roshik said, breaking the spell. "Let's head to class before anyone else interrupts us."

Karayami nodded, reluctantly stepping away from the bubble they had created. As they walked side by side down the hallway, the vibrant chatter of their classmates returned, each sound snapping them back into the reality of school life. But the lingering warmth of their moment hung between them like an unspoken promise.

As they reached the classroom, Karayami noticed a group of girls whispering and glancing in their direction. She felt her cheeks flush, but Roshik seemed unfazed, his playful demeanor shining through as he winked at her. "Let them talk. What we have is ours," he said, his voice low enough for only her to hear.

"Right," Karayami replied, her heart fluttering. "It's just... I didn't expect things to change so quickly."

"Neither did I," Roshik admitted, his expression growing serious for a moment. "But it feels good, doesn't it? Knowing we can be ourselves around each other."

"Yeah, it does." She paused, biting her lip as she thought of Damian and the confusion swirling in her mind. "But I hope it doesn't make things awkward with our friends."

"Don't worry about them. We'll figure it out together," he reassured her, the warmth in his voice calming her nerves. "And besides, they'll be happy for us once they see how happy we make each other."

Karayami smiled, feeling a weight lift from her shoulders. As they entered the classroom, Roshik guided her to their usual seats, a sense of normalcy returning. She took a deep breath, ready to embrace whatever the day had in store.

As the teacher entered and the class settled down, Karayami found herself stealing glances at Roshik throughout the lesson. His focus was intense, yet there was a softness in his demeanor that made her heart skip a beat. She felt a surge of affection for him, mixed with the lingering thoughts of Damian.

During lunch, Karayami sat with Simera and Liminne, trying to engage in their usual banter, but her mind was elsewhere. Every time she caught sight of Roshik across the cafeteria, her heart swelled with a mixture of excitement and confusion.

"So, you and Roshik, huh?" Simera teased, nudging her playfully. "You two are practically glowing over there."

"Shut up," Karayami mumbled, unable to hide her smile. "It's just... new."

"New is good!" Liminne chimed in, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Just be honest with him. It's what you deserve."

Karayami nodded, but her thoughts drifted back to Damian. She remembered his embrace and the way he had let her lean on him. It was comforting but complicated. "What about you, Simera? You seem to be getting close to that guy, Shin," she asked, hoping to divert the conversation.

Simera rolled her eyes. "It's just friendly."

"Just be careful," Liminne advised.

As the lunch bell rang, Karayami felt a sense of determination wash over her. She wouldn't let her feelings for Roshik and her confusion about Damian hold her back. She was ready to embrace whatever came next, and with Roshik by her side, she felt more confident than ever.

"Let's go," she said to her friends, standing up with renewed energy. "We've got classes to conquer!"

As they walked out of the cafeteria, Karayami felt Roshik's gaze on her, and she couldn't help but smile back, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, together.
