"hi, it's [name]. can't pick up the phone right now, i'm busy! just leave a message—"
okay, this is getting ridiculous now.
throwing his head back and letting it plop against his pillow, wade groaned.
it had been a week since the two had last seen each other, since school decided to have mercy on them and suspend classes for a holiday they probably don't need to celebrate.
despite that, wade hadn't seen [name] even once.
they've exchanged a few messages here and there, but nothing more than that.
he did remember her to be the indoors type of person, only leaving the house when necessary.
but damn, she could've at least made an effort to see his handsome face!
whatever happened, it clearly made her want to stay inside her room more than anything and isolate herself from everyone.
he's worried.
when you really think about it... i never really knew the reason why [name] died. all i knew is that she died before even making it to college.
and then, after that... she kinda just left my mind. i moved on, and she became nothing but a bittersweet memory for me.
now i can't help but wonder... how did [name] gracefield die?
glancing at the window that shows the view of [name]'s house, wade waited if he'd catch a glimpse of her through the closed curtains of her room, but there was nothing.
what if something bad happened to her already? no, that can't be right. the incident didn't happen until at least two years later when he left home.
wade tossed and turned, his face scrunched up in impatience. he can't control his thoughts that kept wandering to the worst case scenarios.
