The sound of creaking gears grinded together as the low light from the generator flickered above your head. Sparks flung towards your cold hands as they struggled to work on the wires, your joints stiff. You were in what seemed like a dark alleyway, the small light provided by the generator easily overwhelmed by the surrounding dark.

Confused, you lowered your gaze to your bloody hands. Slowly, you shook your head side to side and your exspression morphed into horror.

"N..no. No this can't be..."

You lifted your shaky hands in front of your face and held them there, observing the lines in your skin caked with your own blood.

The generator continued to purr as you knelt beside it, urging you to continue working on it until completion. Your eyes widened as you observed your surroundings and tears began to sting your eyes.

"Th...this can't be..." You choked.

Your heart began to race and the familiar tight feeling in your chest returned before a faint rustling sound could be heard at the opposite end of the alleyway. You turned your head painfully slow towards its direction as you rose to your feet.

Another rustling, louder this time, visibly moving a trashcan which barely held its contents. You wiped away your tears with the back of your hand, blinking wildly trying to focus in to where the sound was coming from.

(y/n)...

A low and garbled voice could be heard at the end of the alleyway, it prompting a deep and old dread from the pit of your stomach.

You squinted your eyes as you wiped your sweaty palms on your jean skirt.

(y/n)....

"What- who is it!" You sobbed, already knowing the answer.

I am owed. Return to Me.

The voice grew louder, bouncing off the walls on either side.

You took a single step back as your lips were parted in disbelief, tasting the salt of your tears.

"No. No how can You do this..." You whispered, your voice barely audible.

A sinister laugh ensued, it's sound echoing down the alleyway sending chills down your ears and jaw.

You took another step behind you, careful to keep your eyes fixed at the other end. You shook your head furiously as you shoved a trembling finger in the air, pointing towards the end of the alleyway.

"No! I got out...I escaped!" You shouted angrily, your head pounding and your stomach turning.

Another sinister laugh, quieter this time.

You cannot run from Me.

Suddenly a shadow began to make it's way around from the trashcan, reaching. As it grew, you stared in disgust as you realized it was not a shadow, but a tendril. A long darker than dark, shiny tendril that continued to reach towards your direction. It reached for you slowly without urgency, as if it knew you had nowhere to run.

"Oh god...please god..." You swallowed more tears and saliva as your shoulders began to shake from crying loudly now.

Before the tendril could reach the generator you took another step back, tripping over your feet and found yourself falling backwards into a pit of dark liquid, it enveloping you completely. It was cold, wet and clung to your skin like syrup.

"Help me! No! Please somebody, HELP ME!" You screamed as hard your lungs would allow before your face was engulfed. You twisted and turned in the thick liquid as it continue to pull you down, your legs and arms tiring almost instantly as you clawed in vain at the liquid, trying to lift yourself back up.
