You're late (HawksXreader)

"Okay, I'm gonna be really honest here," I said once the week was over and Hawks decided to stop our vacation.

"Hm?" Ongaku looked up from his computer to find me.

"I can't cook, still can't!"

Kyojou chuckled at me. "What did you expect? To learn everything in a day?"

"I burned water." I said.

"Hah," Hawks said, "I started it at the exact right moment!" He was probably flying now, starting his patrol.

How embarrassing!
"Shut up bird brain," I snapped, "I'm sensitive."

"Pffff hah!" Ongaku broke down laughing.

"I can hear him in the background," Hawks said, "Fuck you Ongaku."

"Fuck you too!!" Ongaku called back.

"Sorry, can't hear you!"

Ongaku ran towards me, pulling off my headphones and calling into the microphone attached to it, "Fuck you! Birdbrain!"

"Too loud, my ears!" Hawks laughed.

I couldn't help but to laugh as well before Ongaku pushed the headphones back on my head.

"Time to start," Sakana said and everyone turned to their computer in a second, or seconds if you're Ongaku.

"There's a burglar, not too far from here."

"Fourth house third street next neighbourhood."

I repeated it while I fidgeted with the headphones a little. Ongaku had almost damaged it.
Should I be mad? I wasn't really.

"Burglar caught," Hawks said.

"Cops on the way," Kyojou said.

"Make sure the burglar doesn't escape again," Dobutsu warned in a tone.

"The villain should be tied up," I told Hawks.

"Right," Hawks said, "Almost forgot that part."

"So like... with proof," I adjusted how I said while I tried not to laugh, "Bird brain."

"Really?"

"Sorry, I couldn't not," I stopped fidgeting and turned to the screen.

The day was over quickly and everyone sat back.
The sun threatened to start setting as I stretched a little. Sitting behind a desk somehow hurt my back.

"Guys guys guys!!" Hawks opened the door to the balcony and got in, some rain water coming in with him, "Look what I found!!"

"Water?" Kyojou guessed.

"A kitten!!"

The room seemed to brighten as nearly everyone perked up.
I got up excitedly. "I wanna see!"

Dobutsu huffed. "I hate cats."

"Watch it," Ongaku teased, "It'll eat you."

Dobutsu stuck out her tongue to him.

"It's all wet," I said once I had stared at the adorable thing long enough, "Shouldn't we get a towel or something?"

"We should," Hawks nodded, "Race you to the break room?"

"Very funny," I took the kitten carefully so it wouldn't get harmed in any way, "Let's race!"

Hawks grinned and started running, only to fall right onto his face.

Laughter sounded as Kyojou rolled her eyes.

"Watch it," I smiled, petting the cat despite it being soaked, "The floor is wet."
