Chapter Eleven

"Oh, I'm guessing you dint know then, did Adam forget to inform you or you dint check your email"

Kyle quickly looked through his email and came across Adam's email, fuck! He must have been too much in his head to check his email.
Sighing Kyle nodded

"Well, we will leave in the afternoon instead so you have enough time to get ready" Xavier said "We are visiting the site for the Tresco project, we will be gone for about three days so pack what you will need"

Kyle just wants to disappear, the universe must be out to get him, he can't understand why its when he wants to stay away that the universe is conspiring to stick them together.

"Kyle, we need to talk" Xavier said, he has noticed the inner turmoil the younger one is in and it's bothering him. "We can go grab lunch and talk"

Kyle looked at Xavier, this is hard, he thought. "That is not a good idea" Kyle said

"Okay, let's go up to my office then, we will have a little privacy there" Xavier said leaving no room for argument and he lead the way to his office.
Xavier has a bad feeling about this but he wouldn't know till they talk. It's always best to communicate than assume, that is one thing he has learned from his father.

They get to Xavier's office and Xavier Walks to his chair and sits down and waited for Kyle to do the same but Kyle dint sit, he just stood at the side of the office with his hands crossed.

"So.. about what happened at my house" Xavier cleared his throat and began, but he was cut off before he said what he wanted to say.

"Can we forget that happened?" Kyle said looking Xavier in the eyes.
Kyle sighed when he noticed the confusion in Xavier's eyes and walked to the seat, he sits down opposite Xavier looking at the older man.

"It's pretty much obvious at this point that I like you" Kyle continues with a sad smile on his face.
"I won't deny it, I've liked you for the longest time, I think from the first day I saw you. I thought I would never see you again, I was shocked when I came for my job interview and saw you seated there looking straight at me and just like that all the feeling I thought were insignificant came rushing back, and then when I got to really know you and work with you I was totally sure that it definitely isn't just a crush. But we can't be together.
I can't! I can't hurt my sister like that!
No matter how much I want you, I can't have you, so please just forget about what happened, I like working with you, at least that I can have" Kyle said out of breath as he got up and stormed out of the office.

"Wait!... Kylee!" Xavier called after the man but Kyle was already out of earshot.
"Damn!"
Xavier was angry and happy and sad all at once, what was he supposed to do now, he was thinking this when his phone rang.
Cursing under his breath he picked up without looking at the caller.

"What is it"

"Waoh Romeo, hold your horses" Marcus said with a chuckle on the other side of the line.

"Sorry man, just having a bad day" Xavier ran his hands over his face

"Has something to do with a certain pretty boy?"

"How can you tell" Xavier laughed lightly

"Well, not many things or people can get you in a foul mood and the boy seems to have become one of the people who can"

"I've told you to consider a career change" Xavier teased his friend.

"Come on, I'm in the right career. So what happened? Did you talk to him?"

"More like he talked to me me" Xavier said "We kissed and he started avoiding me so I called him to talk and only him did the talking and stormed out without letting me talk"

"You what?! Did you fuck him?"

"Shut up, I did nothing to him. Get your mind off the gutter" Xavier laughed, now in a better mood.

"I'm just making sure" Marcus laughed "So what did he say then?"

"That he liked me" Xavier sighed deeply "That he has liked me from when he first met me"

"I knew it, I'm not surprised, I could tell from the way he looks at you" Marcus was smiling at the other end.
"So what seems to be the problem then"

"He said we can't be together, that he can't hurt his sister" Xavier was frustrated with the whole situation "Can you imagine it?"

"Mmmh... You haven't talked to him then"

"No, he dint even let me talk"

"Well, I can understand him though, he had feelings for you while you were with his sister so he must feel like he betrayed her years ago and even though you both aren't together now he still feels guilty, and from his perspective alone, not understanding the whole scenerio that went down, I can see how that will make him feel bad.
Which is why you need to talk to him, it will not magically make everything okay but it will help him feel a little better"

"Mmm.. that is true" Xavier said thinking

"Just find a way to talk"

"Oh I will" Xavier has a mischievous glint in his eyes "and this time he will definitely listen"

"Take it easy on him, he is just a boy" Marcus laughs "I've gotta go, wanted to ask something but we will talk later"

"Are you okay man?" Xavier asks his friend

"I'm fine, don't worry about me, bye"

"Thank you. Bye"

Xavier dropped the phone feeling better than when he picked up the call.

It is going to be a long weekend!
