TRAVIS FERRARI SPOTTED STEPPING OUT OF THE VEGA'S WEDDING WITH A PLUS ONE. WHO'S SHE?

The headline read out with a picture of that asshole and I leaving the party but I was blurred out and anonymous.

"Oh my gosh! This is so exciting. I'm sure she's the bride" Bethany heaved in excitement.

"Hell yeah, this is a billionaire love affair. I can't wait to begin planning the wedding" Kourtney agreed in the same enthusiastic attitude.

I refused pay heed to them or say anything,  just swerved lightly in my seat while going through some documents. "How was the wedding for you, Pearl?" she asked.

"Yeah, we didn't get to see you. You left really early, it must have been unbearable for you" Bethany said and I sighed and sat up, placing down the file.

"It was but at least, I've resolved shits with the newly weds" I pointed out. "What about your Mom?" Kourtney asked.

"She still hates me" I answered. "Well, I met Aunt Reggie and her bitchy daughter Natalia, she's pregnant. Is she still married to that weasel Tim?"

"Obviously and my God! Did I have an earful?" I cried out, crossing my both hands on the table. "Well, Eric left really early too" Bethany said.

"Why? Did he get drunk again?"

"Yep" Kourtney answered. "I don't know what you're still doing with that guy!" I exclaimed. "Hey relax! Before any of you judge me, Eric got money "

"Okay yeah, he's a real estate agent. Who cares?! You deserve better" Kourtney stated.

"True but I barely see him and he sends a bazillion gifts to me everyday "

"And when you get the chance to see him, he's either wasted or leaves early " I added and she turned to me. "I don't mind!"

"Last month, we literally gave you proof that he's cheating!" Kourtney reminded. "I cheat too" she shrugged and I shook my head in disbelief.

"Are you gonna drag me or are we gonna talk about this bitch who has apparently ghosted Aiden, heir to the billion dollar company RedCo" She diverted the topic to me.

"Yeah, if you didn't wanna get dragged by your family, you would have hit him up, I'm sure he would have been elated to be your plus one" Kourtney pointed out and I groaned as they brought up the topic again.

"He got better shits to think about than some chick who ghosted him. Now if you both would excuse me..." I got up and stretched a little. "I'll be heading home, I need a nap" I grabbed my jacket and bag.

"God, you're such a bore" they both groaned. "It's Monday, let's go out for a drink or something. I miss those days" Bethany said and I rolled my eyes.

"Round up things here and go wherever you want, don't call me" I called out as I  headed out. "Love you too!" They hollered and I smiled and got down the stairs.

On my way to my car, I felt my phone vibrate in my bag, I got it out and checked who was calling. It was some private number.

I was skeptical about answering but I did anyways. "Are you heading home or do you have somewhere else in mind?" That familiar voice asked.

"Hey Trav, miss me already?" I asked as I got my car open. "Thought you said no nicknames?" he reminded

"You did love it when I called you that" I pointed out as I got in. "You will have a schedule sent to your Email" he informed.

"What schedule?" I asked, hitting the start button and shutting the door. "I've made your schedules sync with mine, you will be updated about upcoming events to prepare for"

"This may come as a shock to you but I have a life, Travis" I said, driving out of the parking lot. "10 hours at work and then 3 more hours on a bottle of wine and the rest in bed just to do it all again the next day" he listed out my routine.

"How long have you been keeping watch of me?" I asked in disbelief. "See it as a favor, Pearl. I'm giving you a purpose again, a reason to have fun"

"Oh really?"

"I do know one of the reasons you agreed to this deal is because of the thrill. You love the thrill, I saw that mischievous glint in your eyes" he said and I couldn't deny.

"I know this past 3 years have been uneventful and silent, you've been going in circles and I know how much you hate that, so be grateful"

I scoffed. "I'm pleased " I replied flatly, taking a left the other way. "Pearl, if we're gonna do this, you gotta do better"

"Oh, I didn't know I've been shitty"

"You have to make it believable, there can't be slip ups. All eyes are watching, they know what is at stake and they'll be looking for ways to ruin this"

"I know, don't worry about me, I'll be fine if you hold up your side of the bargain " I replied. "We'll have this little chat at dinner tomorrow "

"What dinner tomorrow?" The line went dead after that. "This fucker" I cursed, dropping my phone.

Moments later, I finally arrived home, I checked my mail and there was a package.

Dropping everything, i settled on the sofa before opening the black envelope. It was the schedule.

I had dinner with him tomorrow at 8 pm at Augustine and a lot of other shits, apparently my week was packed up. I poured red wine into my glass and leaned back, taking a sip.

Travis was right on one thing, I loved the thrill.
