"So, let's begin..." I proclaimed and everyone sat up, eyes casting down to the file in front of them. "The Fidels' wedding" Kourtney started.
"The theme is Garden Romance Garden Romance. The decor consists of soft floral arches, pastel flowers, string lights, and vintage furniture. Color Palette: Soft pinks, whites, lavender, and greens"
"Preparations will begin tomorrow as we will begin moving everything to Sierra Madre" one of the attendants added. "The Catering services?" I asked, flipping to the next page.
"Everything is in order. The theme has began drafting out out a menu" another attendants chided and I nodded. A thought flew into my head and it brought a smile to my lips.
Bella was gonna have a restaurant soon which meant she was soon gonna be my go to for catering services.
"...Pearl" Kourtney called me back to the meeting and I looked up. "Alright..." I cleared my throat sitting back up. "This event is really important, we are driving towards nothing but perfection" I stated and they all nodded.
Bethany was family and this will be my gift to her, I was gonna make her dream wedding come through.
The wedding got adjourned and I was the first to step out with Kourtney hot on my trails. "Any word from Bethany yet?"
"You know, there's some things she has to get done and she will be leaving on to Sierra Madre Saturday" she reminded and I nodded In understanding.
She needed even the week off.
"So, when are we gonna be touching down at Sierra Madre?" She asked excitedly. "Relax, I know you're long over due for a vacation"
"You have no idea"
"Next Sunday, by then we've sorted out everything here " I replied and she nodded. As we approached my office, we sighted a man by the door.
"Davis!" She screamed and ran to him while I chuckled as I headed to them. It's been a while since I last saw him. She finally let him go and they turned to me. "Hey" I said, pulling him into an embrace.
"I guess, we've both been busy" he replied. "You've been busier" I interjected and Kourtney agreed with me.
"Well, are you getting ready for dinner this Friday?" He asked. "Of course, last dinner before Bethany ties the knot, she will kill me if I don't make it"
"She'll kill you if you do not bring a date this time" Kourtney sand and I smacked her. "Well, care to join us for dinner, we were just heading out" I invited and my eyes darted to Kourtney, she nodded in anticipation.
Now, I wouldn't want to be a third wheel, will I?"
"That won't be necessary. I was just about rounding up things here and heading home" I waved off their request. "Are you sure I shouldn't stay back and -"
"What! No!" I cut off Kourtney, I've worked too hard to get them together and I wasn't gonna be the one who breaks them apart. "Go have fun, I'm fine"
"How's Travis?"
"He is out for business right now but he will be back" I answered and they both just stared, with a hint of concern in their features.
That seems to be his status everytime he's asked about. Unavailable.
"Alright" Davis finally broke the silence, exchanging looks with Kourtney. "Can you wait down a bit?" She asked him and he nodded, as they exchanged few more words, I knew it was my cue to enter my office.
Shutting the door, I let out a sigh, resting my back against it for a moment. The apartment was quiet-eerily so. It was Wednesday, and I wore a white knitted bodycon dress, the long sleeves hugging my arms while the plunging neckline added an edge I didn't particularly feel. My outfit was fitting for the day-pristine on the outside but with threads fraying at the seams.
