Derek's Story

Her pain hit me like a lightning strike, sharp and undeniable, rattling my focus and throwing me off balance. My wolf, growled furiously in my mind, his protective instincts roaring louder than ever. I staggered for a moment, disoriented. My breathing quickened, and I forced myself to shake it off, knowing I couldn't afford to falter now-not with rogues circling like vultures.

I steadied my stance, locking eyes with the closest rogue who dared to advance, and prepared to shift. The plan was clear: transform, unleash hell, and end this fight quickly. My muscles tensed, my bones starting to shift under my skin, when suddenly-

Pain.

Blinding and cold, radiating from my abdomen. The realization hit me at the same time as the blade. I had been careless for a fraction of a second, and that was all they needed. I glanced down to see the glint of steel, blood blooming from the wound and staining my shirt. My arms were yanked behind me, strong hands pinning me down with ruthless efficiency.

Deniz's Story

The world swam around me, my eyes heavy and sleepy. My connection to Derya was gone leaving an unbearable emptiness in its wake.

But then, faintly, I felt it-a horrible pain. It wasn't mine. Something has happened.

"Derek," I whispered, my voice barely audible.

My heart ached, the bond struggling to surface despite the poison dulling my senses. Without my will, my eyes shut down, dragging me into a deep, almost unbearable sleep.

Derek's Story.

I was stabbed. A loud, guttural growl escaped my throat, filled with pain and rage.

"No!" David's voice roared in my head, his fury blending with my own. I fought against the grip of the rogues, but the knife twisting in my gut sent another wave of agony rippling through me.

For a moment, my vision blurred. The pain wasn't just physical-it was a reminder that I had failed to protect her, failed to reach her in time.

The rogue holding the blade leaned in, his breath hot and rancid against my ear. "Not so tough now, are you. Alpha?" he sneered.

My teeth clenched, and I bit back the groan threatening to escape Weakness wasn't an option. They couldn't see me falter, not now. "You'll regret this," I growled, the promise in my voice as sharp as the blade buried in me.

And then, from the forest, I received a response. I watched as the remaining rogues standing around me exchanged glances, their faces shifting from arrogance to fear. The terror was evident in their eyes Without a word, they turned and fled, leaving me behind.

It was my father's patrol, with my father leading the charge. What was he doing here? Chaos spread around us. He ran toward me, his face full of concern.

"Derek, son, are you alright?" His voice cracked, full of urgency.

"Yeah..." My breath was ragged, but the words didn't feel real. "What are you doing here? How did you-how did you find me?"

"Son, I know you want to get revenge for what they've done to me, but not like this."

"What?" My head spun, confusion and frustration mixing. So I decided to play along.
