Lily hoped she was worrying for nothing. She hoped that she wouldn't find something useful when spying on Arabella. Deep down, she did want to be Arabella's friend or at least still feel like she can talk with her. Getting the 7th grade inside would be helpful for Arabella to get ahead and know what's going to happen in her 7th grade year.
Nerves built up as minutes passed by throughout 4th period. It was the class which have none of the other three. Mrs. Brightly was the only Guardian or being that contains magic.
It is still so weird to think that magic exists in the world. Once when she was a child she hoped for some sort of magic to be real. What she did not expect to come out of that was getting her own abilities.
It was difficult for Mrs. Brightly to offer some advice on how to interact with Amaya, now that she and the other teachers are aware of her possessing the fire guardian. There were seven other actual students of hers that she had to work with. Unfortunately, they had just started researching for through a news website so the class could learn what is going on in the world.
As the class started to have questions, Lily was trying to keep her nervous shaky hands to a down low. She couldn't come up with any excuses to why they were like that. All that was going on in her mind, was a clear scenario of Arabella's group figuring out why she really was truly hanging around them. It was them crowding around her with her back against the wall of an another entrance of the school library.
What if she does fail and gets discovered? What will happen after the group confronts her? Lily didn't think that far ahead. What will her Guardian group think of her? That thought wasn't there before. And yet it made her nervousness a lot worse.
Before she attempted to take her mind off of her what if scenarios with the help of her iPad, a folded up piece of white notebook paper landed on her screen. Lily looked up to see Mrs. Brightly subtly winking to her as she walked over to help another student across the classroom. She had forgotten that the teacher was assisting a student that was sitting at a desk behind her.
After making sure no one was watching her, Lily opened up the paper. Mrs. Brightly was able to write down a piece of advice for her. It read, "Just treat her like any other friend."
As per usual, it did take Lily a second to understand what the teacher meant. Arabella is still Arabella, but is possessing a villainous Guardian spirit at the same time. She couldn't have been evil before the Guardian came along. Could she?
No matter what, Lily does see her as a friend and believes Arabella still has a portion of humanity in her. She couldn't stop treating her as a friend. No wonder the other three weren't good choices for this task. She doubted any of them would feel the same towards Arabella.
It seemed like Lily was in Mrs. Brightly's class for a couple of minutes when the school bell rang for the kids to go to lunch. As she quickly packed her backpack, her eyes wondered to Mrs. Brightly who was talking to a male student. Lily couldn't wait to ask if she had anymore advice. She had to find Arabella.
What was annoying about Lunch in a middle school, was how many kids rushed to the food line. Lily wasn't the only one. Teachers had to stand around and shout out for them not to run in the halls. All throughout the crowd however she couldn't spot Arabella. It reminded her that Arabella doesn't always get school lunch.
"Hey Lily!" For a second, Lily thought Arabella was calling out to her, but when she turned around it was Amaya.
"Hi." Lily sighed, attempting to calm down from Amaya startling her.
"How are you? What's up?"
"Oh, nothing much." said Lily. "I'm just looking for Arabella. Have you seen her?"
