I haven't felt as much as i do this morning.
Going to Ebonwood High is something I never would experience in a lifetime. The school is something my father could never afford, alone myself. I guess that's the perks of having rich relatives with children who attend.
My Aunt Scarlett got me enrolled after seeing how much passion I have for dancing. I haven't seen that side of my family since 2 years ago but i still talk to them every few months over the phone. My Aunt requested videos of me dancing and she was blown away. She said "you're going to become a star". I always knew i could dance but I never thought much of it until a few months ago. Shortly after, she got me into the school i've dreamed of.
I chuck on the school uniform and admire it. The plaid skirt that barely touches my knees with a deep blue but grey tone. An average white blouse with a long black tie attached to it. Iconic navy blue blazer with the Ebonwood high logo on the right side of it. Long but not too long white socks with black loafers gifted from my Aunt. Thank god I have loafers because I'm not sure I would fit it in.
I decided to leave down my wavy brunette hair today. As it would have taken me 1 hour and 30 mins or 2 hours if we are being real, to straighten my hair.
I arrived at the bus stop 6 minutes before the bus comes. I know most of the teenagers on my street go to Ebonwood High so it's odd not one of them don't take the bus. Pfft what am i saying? rich kids. The school is not far from my house so that makes it easy. As I wait for the bus my AirPods are blasting Lana Del Rey's song 'ultraviolence'.
The outside of the school has a vintage vibe to it but modern at the same time. The light red bricks and it's like 2 or 3 stories high. The grass is beautifully neat and tidy. It's nothing i've ever gone to before.
I enter the school and find my way to the office to collect my timetable.
As I walk through the office to the main desk, This beautiful red haired girl runs up to me.
"Hey!.. You're the new girl right, Karissa?" she asked with a big smile on her face. "I'm Fame.. Fame Tucker" as she took my hand and shook it up and down.
Fame had long red hair down to the sides of her waist with breathtaking green eyes. She was taller than myself, only about 2 feet taller. She had freckles everywhere that complimented her features so well.
"Yeah that's me" i replied wondering how she knew my name already or that i was even coming. "When your name was mentioned in dance class I was so pumped. When I tell you there hasn't been new meat in forever I swear!" she squealed with so much energy. I admire how happy she is at 8:55 in the morning.
"Well I've looked at your timetable already and we have first class together which is dance, so we better get a move on" she stated while exiting the office as a sign to follow her.
We both arrived at dance shortly after. There's mirrors everywhere with floorboards made for dancing. The roof was so high, not even a ladder could reach the top. There wasn't many students in this class but Fame already explained that the second dance class has much more students.
"Karissa! this is my dear friend Victoria" Fame explained. Victoria looked like she got dragged by Fame to even be near me. "hey" she dryly responded. Victoria had dark black hair with bangs and perfectly thick shaped eyebrows. She was quite intimidating to be honest.
"Is it true you dated Lucian?" she quickly added. Fame quickly put her hand over her Victoria's mouth with her jaw dropped. She inhaled before saying "I'm so so sorry Karissa!! This is not how I wanted our first conversation between the three of us would go, Please ignore her" as Fame glared at Victoria.
