"Does it hurt?" he asked, his voice unusually soft.

"Why do you even care?" Shanvi snapped through gritted teeth. "You hurt others without a second thought, so how can you care about this?"

"Because it's about you," Khoon replied, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

"Bullshit," she muttered under her breath.

"You know, you really live up to your name when you're angry—'Khoon khaar,'" she said sarcastically, her frustration boiling over.

"I know," he said proudly. "That's why I gave myself that name."

"It's nothing to be proud of," she retorted angrily. "Have you seen yourself? You look like a monster when you torture people."

He laughed lightly. "I know," he said, almost amused by her outburst.

After a moment, he added, "Khalid."

"What?" she asked, confused.

"My real name," he said.

"That's such a nice name," she said, rolling her eyes. "And yet, you choose to be called Khoon khaar."

"If Khoon khaar suits my angry side," he said, leaning closer, "then does Khalid suit the way I am with you?"

"I don't know," she replied, avoiding his gaze.

She looked away, trying to calm herself. "When you know I hate violence, why do you keep doing it in front of me? Can't you hide it?" she asked, her voice filled with frustration.

"Because you need to know everything about me," Khoon said firmly. "Everything."

"That's who I am, Shanvi. You should accept me as I am."

Shanvi's mind wandered to the past. Hafid had always tried to hide his violent side because he knew it will disturb her. But Khoon was different. He refused to hide anything, even if it upset her.

At first, she had hated Hafid for keeping secrets. She believed he should have been honest with her. But now, she understood why he did it. Violence disturbed her deeply, and Hafid had tried to protect her from it.

Still, that didn't mean she would justify Khoon's actions. Wrong was wrong, no matter how honest he was about it.

"Why would I accept you?" she asked, irritation lacing her voice. "And most importantly, I'm married. How can you even think of me this way?"

"So what if you're married?" he replied, completely unfazed. "Just because you met Hafid first, does that mean he's everything to you?"

"Shame on you!" she snapped, her voice filled with disgust.

He chuckled as if her words amused him. "I don't mind that you're married. What matters to me is you. And I'll marry you after killing your so-called husband."

Shanvi's eyes blazed with anger. "Just be careful. God forbid it doesn't backfire," she retorted, her tone sharp and biting.

Khoon burst into laughter, clearly entertained by her reaction. "That's why I want you so badly!" he said, grinning. "You're brave enough to stand up to me, even though you know you can't fight me."

"Exactly!" Shanvi snapped. "I'm weak, not on your level, not your match. So just let me go!"

Her frustration boiled over. "Why do you even want to marry me?"

"Because I love you," Khoon said with a casual shrug, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. He opened a few buttons on his shirt, revealing a tattoo on his chest.
