"Hi."

Beomgyu flinched. Why was he talking to him? Isn't he scared?

"H-hi."

He mentally cursed himself for stuttering, his face quickly turning red.

Yeonjun chuckled. This wasn't the same Beomgyu that demanded him to get up from his seat. Yeonjun quickly got more comfortable, shifting his position closer to Beomgyu.

"You're Beomgyu right?"

Beomgyu flinched again as Yeonjun moved closer to him. He could only give him a small nod before covering his face with a small hand.

"Oh.. I'm Yeonjun. Choi Yeonjun."
"N-nice to meet you, Choi Yeonjun."

Yeonjun.. so that was his name.

"Yeonjun hyung!"
"Taehyun-ah! You're finally here."

Taehyun panted after he just ran through the entire hallway to find Yeonjun.

"Did you find your classes?"

Yeonjun nodded and rolled his eyes teasingly as he pulled out the school map.

"This guy saved me luckily."
"I haven't seen that in forever."
"Lucky you. I see this four times a year."
"FOUR TIMES?"
"YES! FOUR TIMES!"
"God uncle must be crazy.."
"Tell me about it."

They continued to chat about their daily dose of gossip as they made their way to the cafeteria.

"So.. tell me about this school."
"Well.. school wise, don't even mention it. Gossip wise, you found the right person. There are four guys you need to know, the popular guys. First, me of course. No explanation needed."

Yeonjun raised an eyebrow. Imaginations of Taehyun telling cheesy pick-up lines to girls popped up in his head. He tried to control his laughter, eventually failing and letting out a soft chuckle.

"Hey! Don't laugh! It's true okay? I might be a bit of a study addict sometimes. But I am an eye candy wouldn't you say?"
"Sureeeee.."
"Oh my gosh. Stop teasing me!"
"Yea yea ok fineee."
"Anyways. The second candidate is Hueningkai. He is considered the "school prince" because of his unique features. He is a BIG plushie lover, which everyone finds cute."

Hueningkai? The person who helped him with his school map? God.. he could already recall the embarrassing situation.

"Then, there's the third candidate, Soobin. He is the best looking guy in school. He might come off as shy at first but he really opens up when you get to know him. But trust me, I've tried. He's a tough ice to break. He also dated the fourth candidate. Beomgyu."

Yeonjun's eyes widened. Beomgyu? The one he talked to in class?

"Beomgyu?"
"Yea. Do you know him? He's also a tough one to interact with. We had a whole voting about "who was the most shy?" But Soobin won that one. Anyways. Beomgyu is the fourth candidate."
"I think I know him."
"Really? He hadn't been to school for a while. I heard he came back today."
"Not sure if it's the same guy. The Beomgyu I talked to was a total mess."
"There's only one Beomgyu in this school though. He must be a mess because Soobin broke up with him. He's always like that on the first day when he loses a relationship, but trust me, you won't be able to take your eyes off him tomorrow. It's the Beomgyu effect."

The Beomgyu effect? Yeonjun chuckled. This school was different from the others. Even the teachers were funnier.

"Did you find out who your roommate is?"
"No, I haven't got my dorm key yet."
"That's weird.. you're supposed to get it by now. It's okay though, you'll probably get it soon."

They finally arrived at the cafeteria, all eyes were on them as they walked in. Yeonjun quickly grabbed a beef burger and some waffle fries, with a side of ketchup and yogurt. As he turned around, Taehyun was nowhere to be seen.

Yeonjun looked around and saw him with a couple of guys talking at a table. Must've got dragged away. He sighed as he sat down on an empty table, before plugging his headphones in.

"Mind if I join you?"
