"Beomie!!"

The brown haired boy immediately looked up from him phone, Yeonjun was right in front of him- wearing a black helmet and suit on a motorcycle. Noticing what the older was wearing, he quickly realised that he was very underdressed for the big party.

"I- I'm sorry, should I go back in and change-"

The older of the two, was also caught up in his own world. Beomgyu's hair was lazily styled, his bangs hovering over his eyes, yet he still looked mesmerising. Snapping himself back to reality, he silently cursed at himself before shaking his head at the younger - who was looking confused.

"Nono! It's okay. You look great."

Beomgyu's face immediately lit up at the compliment. He didn't know why, but every time the older compliments him, he gets twice as happy- which is weird. He gets compliments all the time, people around him praise his looks, his grades and his personality. But when Yeonjun does it, he just can't help but internally scream, or maybe even break out into a smile after the older leaves. He didn't get why, but it was too complicated to figure out anyway.

Yeonjun noticed Beomgyu waiting awkwardly and immediately grabbed a helmet before handing it to him, expecting him to know how to wear it when he has never rode a motorcycle before.

The younger, obviously struggled putting on the helmet. He couldn't find the right way to do it, one second it was too big, and one second it wouldn't fit. It was frustrating.

"Here- let me help."

Yeonjun reached out hesitantly before finally carefully positioning the helmet onto the younger's head. He could swear his heart almost stopped when he made eye contact with Beomgyu, his lips were slightly parted, and he looked.... really pretty up close.

As the two locked gazes, time seemed to stand still, their eyes holding a silent exchange of emotions and thoughts. What's happening? What's this feeling?

"The.."

He took one last glance at the younger before quickly turning away.

"The helmet is perfect, let's go now yea?"

Despite being all flushed and shy, Beomgyu reluctantly followed the elder onto his motorbike. He still had a bit of trouble getting on but the older was there to help him.

"Hold on!"

The pink haired boy revved the engine and immediately took off. Beomgyu had to hold onto the older's waist for dear life while screaming. It was his first time riding a motorcycle and it was amazing, to say the least. He loved it. It felt like the wind was playing with his hair and the petals of pink leaves were floating across them. The blossoms flew right across him, and there it was, a petal right in the middle of him palm. It was beautiful, the most beautiful petal he has ever seen in his life. Sakura pink with a slight tint of purple, the air was cool with the sweet fragrance of blossoms, the kind of scent he wanted to wake up to every day.

As they thundered down the road, the wind kept rushing past like a breathless caress, and Yeonjun couldn't help himself from smiling ear to ear. He hasn't felt like this in a long time, felt like he was finally a child again. Having the time of his life like there's nothing to worry about. This was what he wanted, the engine's humming steadily, the comforting rhythm beneath him, and the world seems to blur at the edges, turning into a vibrant, flashing stream of colors he had never seen before. But most importantly, the presence of the younger on the back seat, arms wrapped tightly around him. This feeling.. he didn't want it to stop. He wanted it to go on forever.

"Beomgyu hyung! You made it!"

The brown haired boy immediately hugged the younger with a big smile, grinning. The two have been inseparable since they made up, they had coffee, after school convenience store hang outs and even a few sleepovers with deep, late night conversations.

Beomgyu waved his last goodbye to Yeonjun before running off with his best friend like a little puppy, excited to get some fruit punch. The older smiled at the sight, he was so cute, just like a little child.

"So are you gonna get some drinks?"

Yuna.

Without even sparing the younger a glance, he reached out to grab a can of beer that was sitting on the table before popping it open and taking a sip.

"Yuna, just leave me alone."

The younger grinned before leaning against the wall, obviously expecting Yeonjun to have some kind of reaction.

"Come on, everyone's talking about us. Do you really want to be a party pooper?"

Turning to the younger, Yeonjun just gave her a judgemental look before turning around and walking away.

Why is she still so annoying?

"You always do this.."

Stopping in his tracks, the pink haired boy slowly turned around and before he knew it, he was met with the younger, soaked in tears.

"You always do this, you act cold to me, you ignore me, I try everything I can to fix out relationship but you never seem to care or even appreciate what I sacrifice. You're a monster Choi Yeonjun, and that's exactly why your dad kept telling you to switch schools. You're a monster."

She broke down in tears on the floor, weak and tired of trying, of constantly doing as the older says, of always being the second favourite. She was tired of everything.

"Y-yuna.."

The black haired girl couldn't even look at the older now, she tried and tried. Tried smiling through every blunt response, tried offering to help even in the smallest issues, tried to cheer him up despite him being sensitive, yet he never appreciated anything she does.

"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry okay? Please don't cry?"

At this point half the party was already stopped, everyone was staring at the two, taking pictures and even trying to ship them together again. Despite the situation, Yeonjun quickly grabbed a paper towel and handed it to the younger, gently wiping away the tears and even offering the girl a small hug. He knew how much she loved his hugs, she would always beg for them in the past. The younger smiled softly in his embrace, slowly calming down from her sudden breakdown.

Yeonjun slowly rubbed soothing circles on her back, he didn't know why, but the feeling of the younger's heartbeat finally turning steady and even again, made him smile. Yuna was slowly calming herself down, and even if he didn't want to admit it, he knows that deep down, he still cares for the younger. Sure, not in a romantic way, but he still deeply cares for her. He would still be happy for her on her special days, or even smile when he sees a post of her enjoying her favourite foods.

You don't just stop caring for someone, even if you're not attracted to them anymore. You might fall out of love, or even find them annoying from time to time. But someone you cared about in the past, will always have a place in your heart. It's like a love dome, willing to accept and give out all the amount of love needed, because you're just willing to do anything for the person you care about.

"Hey, you better make it up to me. Don't think you'll get away this easily."

The older smiled before rolling his eyes cheekily, finally getting up from the floor.

"But you love hugs!"
