CRISIS CORE {Cloud Strife X Reader} Vol.1

Professor Hojo, the mastermind of Project S, takes Zack's and Cloud's beaten bodies and starts a new experiment to create Sephiroth-clones to test his Reunion Theory.

 Zack and Cloud are infused with Sephiroth's cells, but are deemed failures and left lying asleep in tanks for four years until Zack is awoken by what seems to be Angeal.

"Those wings....I want them, too..."

Since Zack is a SOLDIER, and resistant to mako due to the SOLDIER process, he has the strength to drag himself and a catatonic Cloud out of a rebuilt Nibelheim through the ranks of Shinra soldiers. 

He then tries to find you, but your whereabouts are unknown.

Then he began to grow worried when he then overhears a conversation from Hojo that they took you to Midgar and that's where he'll beheading to save you.

 To ease Cloud's recovery from mako poisoning, Zack lends Cloud a SOLDIER 1st Class uniform, discarding his old mako-soaked clothes.

He then remembers that he still has Aerith's note about her 23 wishes that he'll forget. He as no idea how long he was inside that tank for, but he has to see Aerith and then he can rescue (Y/n).

"Hey Cloud, I... I have to go to Midgar. I have to save (Y/n) there. You wanna come with me?"

Zack Fair and Cloud Strife escape from Nebelheim the countryside and run into Cissnei, who reveals the Shinra Electric Power Company has dispatched her to capture the two. 

She is shocked the escapees she was sent to hunt down are Zack and Cloud, and seeing Cloud in a bad state agrees to let the two go, lending Zack a motorcycle with a side car for Cloud.

While on the run, Zack and a near-vegetative Cloud run into Genesis and his copies. Since Zack and Cloud are infused with S Cells, Genesis wishes to take the two to stop his degradation. 

A Genesis copy tests Genesis's plan by eating a lock of Zack's hair, but this turns the copy into a monster.

Zack travels to his hometown of Gongaga to see his parents, but Cissnei appears to warn him that going to Gongaga is too obvious and Shinra will expect this. Genesis and Dr. Hollander, now a Genesis copy himself, attack, and Zack kills Hollander.

 The person who Zack thought was Angeal Hewley who protects him and Cloud is actually Director Lazard, now an Angeal copy, dying of the same degradation Genesis and his copies suffer from. 

Lazard has inherited Angeal's feelings of honor and wish to save the world, which is why he is helping Zack so that he can find (Y/n).

"So, Zack, what is your dream?"

"Huh? Oh, let's see...To become a hero!" Zach said proudly.

"Heh, unattainable dreams are the best kind."

"Oh, come on! Lend me a hand! You and Angeal both. If we pull this off, we'll all be heroes! At the very least, I'd feel like one! I have to save (Y/n) too!"

"So, Zack, where is Genesis?"

Zack had no idea until when he looks at the dumbapples, he has an idea that Genesis is heading towards Angeal's hometown.

Zack hold up the apple so that Lizard understands his meaning. "I see..."
