Season Collins, a 18-year-old geek, is finishing her last year at Cloverbridge high school, known for its rigorous curriculum. Winston Moore, who'd gotten expelled in the middle of the school year for being too goofy, is forced to transfer to Clover...
Mrs. Nipple's class was her least favorite part of the day. Season sighed as she reached in her bag for her laptop, still feeling groggy from the goofiness. She noticed Winston sitting a few seats behind her to her right as she turned in her chair. She prayed that they wouldn't make eye contact. One more hour, she thought.
"Today you will be assigned to do a group project to finalize our unit," Mrs. Nipple said. "And no, you will not be picking your partners this time. I will be assigning them through this hat."
She pulled out a tacky purple hat from beneath her desk, the sequins on its sides rattling as she brought it out. This was not out of the ordinary for a woman like Mrs. Nipple.
"In here I've put pairs of numbers on small slips of paper. I'll be coming around for you to grab one."
She started at Angie, the shy girl in the corner, and made her way down and up the columns of desks in a snake-like pattern. When it was Seasons turn, she ruffled her fingers and grabbed the one that called out to her the most. She made note of the number, 69, in her head.
"That should be everyone...Okay class, now get together with your partner and start discussing the outlines of the project. I highly suggest exchanging forms of contact, as you will be working on this for three weeks in class."
After she finished, everyone got up and began finding their partners, and Season listened carefully for her number.
"Has anyone got 11?" "Yo who got 17?" "Dam I was hoping you had 8..." "I can't find who has 52" "Does anyone have 69?"
Season looked up through her glasses with relieved eyes, delighted about having heard her number. But to her surprise and disappointment, her other pair was none other than Winston.
He looked around in confusion as he asked other wanderers if they had his number. By then everyone was already getting situated with their partners. Noticing and wanting to help, Mrs Nipple called out loud to the class, "Who's got 69?"
Great, Season thought, as if this day couldn't get any worse. Season slowly raise her petite hand in the air.
"There's your partner. Have a seat Winston," Mrs Nipple said. "Now, for this project, you will be required to..."
Winston was slowly walking up to her desk as she awkwardly tried to avoid his gaze. She could feel the tension between them, and it was unbearable. Winston, who probably felt the same, tried to lighten things up.
"Funny seeing you again," he chuckled.
This was followed by a loud silence that made her die on the inside. Now things were worse. But she didn't want his attempt at making things less awkward be in vain, so she tried to spark conversation as well.
"I'm soooo tired," she groaned. This was followed by a short yeh, then another grueling session of awkward silence. She tried again.
"Listen I'm sorry if I said or did anything weird to you this morning. I don't remember anything, so if I said or did something that was wrong, I'm so sorry..." she said. "...And thanks for taking me to the infirmary."
"Don't mention it," he replied nonchalantly. Season blushed from his hot boy aura.
This was followed by a brief moment of silence.
"Hey if you want to we can exchange numbers right now," he said. Season looked confuse, and he took a second to clarify.
"Oh uhhh Mrs Nipple said that since we'll be working on this for a while, we should have a form of communication with our partner."
"Oh, yeh, right..."
She pulled out her iPhone 5s, becoming embarrassed with the small, old phone model.
"Sorry, I know it's old"
"Hey, don't worry, I don't mind. No need to be embarrassed. Let me get out my phone too."
From his back pocket he brought out the newest iPhone 37 pro max plus 3000 gigabyte alpha sigma model. The side bar was plated with gold, and there was a built in Monster Legends hologram that lit up when his phone blinked open. This boy was rich. 🤑
He motioned for them to exchange phones so they could type their numbers in. Season held in her laugh when she saw his big manly hands tapping on her small iPhone 5.

"Here," he said, handing back her phone. Season did the same.
"Is it alright if I come to your house next week?" He said unexpectedly.
Season was stunned. Wasn't it too early for that? Don't you have to be close friends for that to happen?
"-I -uhhh," she stuttered. "Would it be okay with you to meet at Coochina Bridge instead?"
"Coochina Bridge?"
"Yeh, the bridge next to the school."
He thought for a moment then nodded.
"That's fine with me if it's fine with you. Text me what time your free."
Then, the bell rang.
"Gotta go. Talk to you later... " he looked at his phone, "Season." He smiled cutely.
Season was confused, shocked, and happy at the same time. He was a nice person to be around. Quite charming as well. Wait, what am I thinking?, she thought, I better get to class.
