Anabeth: Advent Calendar 2024

Today was the day Ana had been waiting a long time for. The council had decided to do Secret Santa this year, and today the gift exchange was finally taking place.

Ana had drawn Master Drallig and arranged a special gift for him with some help from Bo. She knew Cin had always had an interest in Mandalorian culture, so she got him a Mandalorian vibro blade he could put on display in his room.

Once everyone had made it to the council chambers and gotten hold of the gift labeled with their name, they got to opening them, one after the other. Depa went first, unboxing an assortment of incense candles.

Next up was Master Fisto, who received a small sculpture of a sea horse. Plo-Koon got some truffles, Allie a new colorful plant for her office and Aayla got a box with a crystal native to Ryloth inside.

Windu was next to open his present, receiving a mug with the printing 'Mace the Mysterious', a nickname they had been teasing him with recently, after Depa had told them about how she used to find him scary and mysterious when she first became his Padawan.

Finally, it was Drallig's turn. He smiled as he realized what the gift was, fascinated by the item. He was followed by Anakin who received a brand new tool set to use for working on his projects. Next, Obi-Wan received a bag of rare tea before it finally was Ana's turn.

She opened the box in front of her to reveal a little nutcracker. "Wow, it's so beautiful" she smiled. "Alright, now that everyone has opened their gifts. It's time to figure out who got gifts for who" Windu announced.

"Mine should be an easy one. It's a Mandalorian vibro blade, so either Ana or Obi-Wan" Drallig quickly spoke up "I have a hunch it's from Ana tough". "Yep, it's from me" Ana confirmed his suspicion.

From there, they tried to match the rest of the gifts to the people who had gotten them. It took some time and logic, but it was a fun process and in the end they had figured it all out. Ana had gotten the gift for Drallig of course. He drawn Obi-Wan, who had drawn Depa. Depa had gotten Plo, Plo got Allie, Allie got Windu and Windu had gotten Anakin. Anakin had gotten a gift for Fisto, Fisto had gotten one for Aayla and Aayla had finally gotten a gift for Ana, closing the circle.

"We should do this again in the following years, only from now on we time how long it takes us to match the gift to the person who got it. We can become match Masters then and try and beat our record every year!" Anakin suggested. "Yeah, I think no one else here is that competitive, Anakin" Ana put a stop to his idea. "But I'm sure we can do this again next year. And who knows, maybe someone here is going to time the whole thing secretly anyway. Looking at no one in particular here" Windu said, staring directly at Anakin.

"Oh my, our Master has gotten competitive all of a sudden" Ana said to Depa, though loud enough for everyone to hear. "I think us losing to Petro in the gingerbread house competition might still be nagging at him" Depa joked, the room bursting into laughter.
