Don't worry, our innocent Kuhu and Kian aren't growing up anytime soon! ❤️
(Just felt the need to address this 🙈)

The little trip to Panchgani was punctuated by silence. Fir Yash, the silence was grave and for Agni, it was no less than contemplative.

All Agni could think of was the last two days. They went on faster than sand between fingers. The tighter he tried to hold on the few remaining moments with his kiddos, the sooner it had passed.

Both Kuhu and Kian had persuaded him to stay a bit longer. Two days, to be precise and thus the brothers had postponed their little meeting with their dear cousin.

The little b*tch could wait.

Because his little kiddos deserved all his time and attention. They had made the most out of the time. Perhaps, that's the reason it seemed to pass on sooner than any of them expected.

The car came to a sudden halt, bringing him out of his thoughts. He looked at the modest house that beheld their eyes.

A humble abode. Not for long.

He looked at Yash, who had a cold look written all over his face. Since the past four days, every single time he looked towards him, betrayal crashed over him in the form of tumultuous waves.

Everything that transpired with Riva replayed in his mind on a loop. The betrayal didn't come as a surprise but the person did.

He had always known that his brother kept a very close eye on him. That explained all his unwanted meddling in his 'business'. With time, he learnt to allow his overbearing brother to meddle in certain aspects of his business. However, the others were shielded from his eagle eyes. Rightly so.

His wildest suspicion had pointed towards Malhar. But it wasn't long before he realised that his best mate was indeed trustworthy. Coming from a family that had served 'The Mafia' since ages, his loyalties must never be doubted. He had learnt that the hard way.

Riva.

She was like warm sunshine in his cold life, a kiss of honey in his hot tea. After Kuhu, she was the one who kept him sane. Her betrayal had cost him a lot. Emotionally.

It made complete sense as to how his bhaiya got to know about the mission, the race and the smoking. She was the real snake in the grass.

"Keep your gun to yourself, Agni." Yash's warning, yet again brought him out of his thoughts.

He swallowed the lump in his throat before smirking at his brother.

"No promises, bhaiya." He winked at him.

Yash sighed before getting out of the car. All her wanted to do was shoot that woman at first sight. But for starters, she was a woman, the daughter of the woman he deeply respected.

The main door was opened by a man in his late thirties.

"Aap?" He asked, the familiar faces striking up the buried fear within him. He had known that the day was inevitable.

"Adhiraj." Yash acknowledged him, unbothered to keep the disdain off his voice. Silence against abuse was still a crime in his books.

"Bad manners, bhaiya." Agni chimed in. "Jeeja ji hai humare."

"It's alright." Adhiraj said uncomfortably. "Please come in."

With that he stepped back to give him way. Agni was about to walk in before Yash held his arm.
