⚔️Darling....take the mask off⚔️
"Thank you so much Dr. Arya for saving me." A female intern joined her hands. Arya looked at her and shakes head on her antics.
"If you had acted courageously instead of fainting in the operation theatre, you would not have had to do this." Arya scolded the junior intern as she nodded her head in understanding and guilt.
"I promise I'll never do this again, but please don't tell about this to my senior or he will kill me." The girl thanked Arya, then hurried off to her shift. Arya settled into a chair in the hospital canteen, preoccupied with her phone. Unaware of the intense gaze fixed upon her.
Avika stood at a small distance, leaning against a wall in the garden. With a cigarette between her fingertips, she exhaled a plume of smoke, her gaze fixed on the canteen in the distance. A wicked smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she observed her from afar.
"Got you." She murmured under her breath.
"Excuse me mam." She heard a voice from her left and spotted a middle aged woman staring at her in anger. "You are not allowed to smoke here, it's a hospital. You should know this." She ordered in a raspy voice.
Avika approached her and gazed at her with a straight face. "Give me your hand." The woman looked confused but extended her palm, Avika crushed the burned cigarette on her palm, causing her to scream in pain. The lady quickly withdrew her hand, blowing on her injured palm to soothe the burn.
"Oops, did it hurt?" Avika asked in fake concern. The lady glared at her way. But couldn't say anything as her brother is the dean of the hospital . "I despise being given commands by someone of lowly status, Idiotic bitch." She grit out and wore the dark specs on her eyes before heading inside the canteen.
