Newt x Reader

~Y/N's POV~
the boy with the darker skin came back into the room. he walked over to me and offered me his hand. i swiped it away and sat up looking up at him. "no need to be grumpy new girl! anyways i forgot to introduce myself, im alby the leader of the glade. i know this is strange and scary but trust me you will remember your name soon enough." i looked at him still annoyed over i dont even know what. "i was trying to help you out of the bed but since it seems you dont want me to touch you, please get up and come with me." alby requested. i stood up, still a little shakey but strong enough to walk on my own. he walked out of the room and i followed him, weary of my temporary weakness. alby guided me to a chair and pointed for me to sit down. i obeyed. a couple minutes passed and about a dozen boys walk into the hut, sitting down on the other side opposite me. i see the blonde boy that hugged me before. i smiled at him and his face went slightly red. 'weird' i thought. when everyone had sat down alby started speaking. "ive called you all here to discuss about our knew glader. now i know we have never had a girl before so we need to set some ru-" "IM THE ONLY GIRL!?" i shouted in surprise. "minho did you not tell her that!?" alby questioned sounding quite mad. "oh crap i forgot! im really sorry alby!" minho replied guiltily. "you shouldnt be saying sorry to me, you should be saying sorry to her" stated alby. minho nodded and alby continued talking.

~NEWT's POV~
alby was telling minho off for not telling the new girl that she was the only girl in the glade. it was quite funny to hear, but i also felt deeply bad for the girl. the second she came up in the box i saw a few of the boys give her weird looks as if they want to use her for their own selfish, teen-hormonal desires. "now everyone for the rules" alby dictated. "firstly, the girl will be built her own hut in order to retain privacy for her. no one is aloud in her hut unless they are given permission from her directly. secondly, i dont want to see any of you trying to get with her or making her uncomfortable.got it?" everyone nodded, but i knew half of the boys wernt going to obey the second rules anyways; and they would most definitely try to sneak into her hut without her permission. I mean don't get me wrong she is absolutely gorgeous and smokin hot but I can't look at her like that. Not if I want her to like me, even if it was only as a friend. Shit! I can't be falling in love with her! She only got here today and I'm non-stop thinking about her, but I can't help it she's so fucking gorgeous. "Y/N!" The girl yelled out! "Whoes y/n?" Ably asked. "y/n.. Y/N! that's me! I'm y/n!" She exclaimed. "Well it's nice to meet you y/n" alby said holding out his hand to shake hers. She hit it away and stared at him angrily. "Oh year right sorry" alby muttered. The meeting was dismissed. Gally and the other builders were ordered to start building the hut for y/n. Y/n.. wow what a beautiful name. Shit I'm thinking about her again! I brushed it off and got up ready to get back to the garden to do my work. Alby stopped me before I could walk out the door. "Newt can you look after the new girl- I mean y/n until the bonfire?" He asked me. "Yeah sure I can do that" I replied. "But what about the garden?" "It's fine you can deal with it tomorrow but right now your job is to look after y/n. And for the love of god don't let any of the boys get near her because god knows what they would do to her" " I won't" I assured alby as he walked out the door. Now only me, Minho, and y/n were left in the hut. "I'm going to head out into the maze newt, I'll see ya later!" Minho chimed. "Alright see ya Minho" I replied. Now it was just me and her. I turned around to look at her and I blushed when I saw her already looking at me. "Hey there I'm newt" I said confidently, hoping to come off as somewhat strong. "I'm y/n" she responded. "Yeah I heard" I laughed. She giggled at my words. God her laugh was cute too! How perfect could she be? "Well your stuck with me for the rest of the day so we better get going" I joked. She stood up and followed me out the door.
