75 ? date crashing

Start from the beginning

As you made your way downstairs to the communal living area, you happened upon Katsuki and Shouto, who were both dressed in their U.A uniforms, despite the fact that it was a weekend.

"You're up pretty early," Katsuki remarked.

"I couldn't really sleep," you admitted, shrugging your shoulders slightly. "Oh, right. You guys are going to your provisional license training, aren't you?"

"Obviously. You dumb, or what?"

"Bakugou, that's unnecessary," Shouto chastised with a firm shake of his head. He then turned towards you. "Yes. We have provisional license training. We need to hurry and catch up to everyone-"

"Will you quit it with that shit, already?!"

"Alright, well, good luck," you smiled. "I hope your training goes well."

"Ha." Katsuki proudly lifted his chin up, with an expression that was far too arrogant for someone who'd failed to obtain his license. "Since when do I need luck? You do know who you're talking to, right?"

"Yeah. I'm talking to the guy who kept yelling at everyone during the exam, instead of helping them like he was supposed to. Which is why I have a license, and you don't."

You made sure to top off your words with a sweet smile, and of course, Katsuki was already trembling from embarrassment.

"Shut up!" he snapped. "You don't have to be such an asshole about it!"

"I'm sorry. I learned from the best," you couldn't help but laugh.

"Ugh!"

Shouto frowned slightly. "Why are you yelling at her? She's right. We both failed because of our own shortcomings. That's why we need to hurry and catch up to everyone-"

"I thought I told you to give that a fucking rest!"

Katsuki stormed out of the building without another word, practically blowing smoke out of his ears. Shouto made sure to wave goodbye to you before leaving, but even once they were outside, you could still hear Katsuki yelling at Shouto not to walk in front of him. Which was apparently a big deal for some reason.

What should I do today...?

To be honest, you felt a bit lost. Recently, everything had been leading up to the Shie Hassaikai raid. It was constantly on your mind, no matter the time or place. One way or another, everything led back to Chisaki. The man who'd created the anti-Quirk bullets, the man who'd held Eri captive and tormented her, and also... the man who'd killed you.

Now that Chisaki had been defeated, it felt a bit strange. Saving Eri had become your goal, ever since Aphrodite first warned you about Chisaki's cruelty through that dream. Of course, you were glad that it was over. But now it was time to move on, at long last. And if your intuition was right, you probably weren't the only one struggling with this. You could definitely think of one person in particular who was bound to be sulking right about now.

hi, tamaki!

how are you feeling today?

just wanted to check in :)

It was still pretty early in the morning, so you weren't expecting a response right away. After what happened yesterday, you wouldn't blame him if he wanted to sleep in for a change.

But he did respond.
