Taehyun made eye contact with the person at the counter, who's eyes instantly became wide in shock.
"Jin hyung!" Taehyun exclaimed happily, waving at the man at the counter who's shocked expression, immediately melted into a warm smile.
"Taehyun...?" the male at the counter asked as Taehyun approached him. Taehyun nodded "Yup, it's me hyung" he said with a smile. "What brings you here? It's been so long" the said Jin asked.
"Yeah, I know I haven't been in touch with you since... You know, my sister ran away from home. But that is not important. I came because I wanted to talk to you about something, and maybe catch up on our lives a little bit - but if you're busy right now, I can wait until you're free-"
"Woah, Taehyun. Breath, calm down. You know what, you go wait in one of the tables. I'll ask someone to take over for me. We've got some catching up to do" Jin said, cutting him off. Taehyun nodded and went to find somewhere nice to sit.
After looking around for a little while, Taehyun spotted a nice table for two at a corner and went over to sit down there.
Taehyun scanned the place hard, in complete awe. He was impressed if he was being honest. He knew how passionate the latter was about opening his own café. But he could've never imagine this.
The place looked so - so dreamy and cozy, the fairy lights shining dimly under the dazzling moonlight. Taehyun made a mental note to come back here often, along with some company as well.
"Are you liking the place so far?" a voice snapped Taehyun out from his little train of thoughts. Looking over at the owner of the voice, his eyes light up upon seeing Jin who was looking at him with a soft smile. "Yeah, this place looks wonderful. You did such an amazing job - I'm so proud of you hyung!" Taehyun chirped sincerely as Jin took a seat across Taehyun.
"Thanks, Taehyun. I appreciate your kind words. Now what brings you here, may I ask?" Jim asked cautiously, as if he was afraid of ruining the mood. "Oh that..." Taehyun trailed off, he had almost forgotten about the reason he came here in the first place. Guess he just got a tad bit too mesmerised at the café, but you couldn't blame him though, the place was a blessing to the eyes.
"Well you see hyung, I-I... Think I'm falling for someone" Taehyun said, his voice barely above a whisper. He could see the other man's eyes go wide, but he kept on going "but I don't know if it's just a regular crush or something way more serious and that's what I need your help with.." Taehyun said, his cheeks flushing at the thought of a certain boy who had spiked his interest.
"I see, now. But Taehyun, I can't give you an exact answer -"
"I know! I just, want some help figuring out my feelings.."
"Okay than. So tell me, when did you start realising you had some sort of feelings towards this.."
"Boy, he's a boy" Taehyun said, his tone firm yet a bit weak at the same time.
"Yes this boy, when did you figure it out"
"Well, it was not so long ago, in fact it was yesterday that I started taking my feelings seriously" Taehyun said truthfully. There was no point of lying. "So what happened was..."
Flashback
Taehyun's heart dropped the minute he heard his score. '99.5?...' Mr. Kim's words kept echoing through his mind. Taehyun couldn't focus. He didn't hear what anyone said next, his whole world started to blur. He though he saw Beomgyu say something to him but he was too overwhelmed to even think about it. That's how he mindlessly raised his hand and excused himself to the bathroom.
