The night was quiet, the occasional hum of the heater filling Shoto Todoroki's room. Izuka lounged on Shoto's bed, flipping through channels on the TV with the remote as Shoto stood nearby, organizing some of his things. On the floor, Shoto had neatly laid out a pallet for Izuka—more out of formality than necessity. They both knew how the night would actually end.Shoto climbed into his bed after everything was tidied up. Izuka plopped the remote down beside him, settling on some random action movie neither of them cared much about. They watched it in silence at first, the soft glow of the TV illuminating their faces.
As the movie played on, Izuka began to drift off, his head lightly bumping against Shoto's shoulder. Shoto looked over, unfazed, before quietly adjusting himself to give Izuka a more comfortable spot to rest. Eventually, they both fell asleep, curled up close without a second thought.
The morning light filtered through the blinds, casting soft rays across the room. It was peaceful—until the door burst open.
Endeavor: "SHOTOOOOOOOOOOO! Wake up! It's time for training!"
Shoto's eyes fluttered open at the sound of his father's booming voice. Sitting up groggily, he glanced around the room, only to freeze when he saw Endeavor staring directly at the bed, his expression stunned.
Shoto followed his father's gaze and immediately understood. Izuka was still fast asleep, sprawled out beside him, his face half-buried in Shoto's pillow. Without a word, Shoto calmly turned to his father, then turned back to Izuka. With one swift motion, he shoved Izuka out of the bed and onto the pallet on the floor.
Shoto: "I don't know how he got there. My apologies, Father."
Izuka hit the ground with a loud thud, groaning as he blinked himself awake, still half-asleep.
Shoto: "Please don't fall asleep in my bed again. That's weird."
Izuka, still dazed and trying to make sense of what just happened, nodded slowly.
Izuka: "Uhhh... yeah... sure..."Endeavor stood there for a moment longer, his stern gaze lingering on Shoto as if to say, We will discuss this later. Then, with a huff, he turned on his heel and walked away, leaving the door wide open.
Endeavor: "Shoto! Get up! You're not missing your training!"
As the sound of Endeavor's footsteps faded, Shoto sighed, reluctantly climbing out of bed. He moved to close the door but paused when he noticed Izuka still sitting up on the floor, rubbing his eyes.
Izuka: "You didn't have to just push me out of the bed, y'know."
Shoto walked past him, grabbing the remote and turning off the TV.
Shoto: "I know you wouldn't wake up any other way. Besides, my father would've freaked out. This was the best solution for both of us."Izuka groaned, still too tired to argue properly.
Izuka: "You're such a pain in my ass sometimes. I mean, jeez, who just throws someone out of the bed like that?"Shoto smirked faintly as he started picking out clothes for training.
Shoto: "Me. And you love me, so don't lie to yourself."Izuka rolled his eyes, his voice dripping with mock sarcasm.
Izuka: "Nah, I just love your money."That actually made Shoto laugh softly.
Shoto: "Hmm. Okay, sure. Like I give you any to start with."Izuka shot back, his tone playful.
Izuka: "Yeah, yeah, I know. I was kidding. But on another note, you get 10 million yen (which is 63,446 usd) weekly for allowance! And you're so stingy with it." (in this AU shoto's family is filthy rich. Logically no one would ever get that much but this is fiction so who cares)
