??Caspian Love story??
When Lucy and Edmund are picked up out of the sea by Caspian and crew members of The Dawn Treader, they know it's time for a new adventure. With them is their cousin Eustace, who is anything but enthusiastic about where he has...
Miriam spent most of their final two days at Galma preparing Theo for their voyage. They would set sail tomorrow and he needed to know what to expect when being on a ship. He met the crew, got a tour around the ship, and was briefed about where they were heading. Theo listened keenly at everything Miriam taught him. The crew had been as friendly and welcoming as could be expected, even so, he knew he had to earn their respect, and he was prepared to do whatever it took to do just that.
Once they were back in the duchy they parted ways, and Miriam went to her room to get ready for the night's farewell banquet and Theo slipped away to spend some time with his mother.
Nearby, the duchess and her friends were talking when they saw Miriam and Theo return from outside.
"Why is she always talking to that boy? Who is he anyway?" One of the friends commented.
"Ugh, that's the housekeepers son. But you are right, she seems to talk to him quite a lot. Perhaps she's found interest in another man? One that is more suitable for her. Which leaves the king back on the market." The duchess answered.
"But what if they're just friends?"
"That can be changed. What if the king found them in bed together? She said so herself, she hasn't laid with the king yet and a queen that is already spoiled, is ruined. No king would want a used queen."
"Are you serious? What are going to do?"
"You'll see."

Caspian and Miriam entered the ballroom together, there they were served wine and appetizers. They walked over hand in hand to the duke thank him for his hospitality this past week and how much they'd appreciated him opening up his home to them.
They danced, both together and with other partners, drank and conversed with guests. Miriam found Theo early in the evening and took comfort in his company when Caspian wasn't around. Theo had already been drinking a few glasses before he arrived, so he was in good spirit.
"Cheers, my lady. Tomorrow awaits new adventures."
"How much have you had to drink?"
"I choose not to answer that."
"Which translates to a lot."
"This occasion gives reasons to drink, your highness."
"As long as you are ready to sail tomorrow."
"I promise." Theo winked at her, then gulped down the last sips of the wine he had in his glass. Miriam on the other hand, drank with caution because she knew she would feel ill tomorrow when they set sail anyway. Drinking too much would only make matters worse.
She spotted Caspian talking with some of the guests and decided to leave him be and enjoy her own company instead.
