As another two weeks passed, the crew had still not found land yet – only endless ocean. The crew began to tire, and their food supplies began to dwindle. Miriam and Theo did their best to ration the food while still maintaining quality meals for everyone. She would also divide her time between Caspian, Theo, Edmund, and Lucy and on occasion Eustace just to make him feel seen and heard. They mostly played chess though. Lucy had adopted the habit of taking care of Gail and teaching her everything she needed to know about sea life. She would tell her stories about the Golden Age and the time they returned and met Caspian. Miriam would on occasion join in and tell her what happened after the Pevensies left Narnia.

Miriam and Theo was having a little break after they had cleaned up after lunch. The sun was high in the sky and warmed their skins. They had both developed a significant tan during their months at sea and Miriam particularly liked the tan on her husband, it made him significantly more handsome even though she thought him to be handsome no matter what.

As they were sitting by the side of the ship, with Miriam having her eyes closed, Theo expressed his worry for being away so long and how that might affect his beloved Sophie's feelings.

"Do you think she will remember me when we return?"

"Of course, why wouldn't she?"

"What if she meet someone else while I'm gone? She is a beautiful woman who can have whoever she wants after all."

"And she does, you are the one she wants."

"How can you be so sure of that?"

"True love doesn't come around very often and when it does... it's forever." Miriam opened her eyes, and they immediately set on her husband who was standing up on quarterdeck. She then turned her attention back on Theo who was watching her with his usual knowing look.

"What?"

"Nothing, just observing."

"Then you should know I'm right. Do you know how many suitors I turned down back in the days because they weren't the one?" Theo shook his head. "Well there were many, including Lucy and Edmund's brother Peter... Then I met Caspian, and it all felt right. He understood me in a way no one else did and he continues to do so. He marvels me every single day and every day I fall increasingly more in love with him. He makes me completely, and perfectly, and incandescently happy and being with him is the best discission I have ever made." She paused for a moment for dramatic effect. "Now this my friend, is what the meaning of true love is."

"Look who's giving out relationship advice, I thought that was my role."

"The roles have been switched, my friend. I'm the master now."

"You are just so full of it." Theo whipped her with the cloth he still had in his pocket and they both laughed hysterically. Caspian watched them in amusement. There was not a single ounce of jealousy as he knew for a fact, the two were friends and nothing more.

Once the laughter had died down, Miriam felt the fatigue hit her and she slowly started to feel nauseous again. She called an end to their quality time and left to lay down in the cabin.

Caspian followed her with his eyes, then told Drinian he would be back later before catching up to Miriam. Edmund had given up his cabin to Miriam and had joined the crew once Gail and Lucy was sharing a bed, and Caspian would alter between sleeping in the cabin and with the crew depending on if he needed to be up early or not.

"This is a pleasant surprise. Hello husband." Miriam said before receiving a kiss from Caspian.

"I just feel like being with my wife for a while."
