Ties that bind us together

"She has no leg", murmured Abhi, looking at her deflated palazzo from the left side. Did she lose her leg in this fiasco, or is she always like this?

Naira touched Akshara's palazzo and found it hanging loose from the left side. She had no leg. It is not broken or anything. Her leg is not here at all. So many questions are running in her mind, but right now, their priority is to take Akshara to the hospital quickly. So much blood is oozing out from her forehead.

"Abhi, we should take her to the hospital quickly. There is so much blood. She needs quick treatment", Naira murmured. She removed her dupatta and tied it on her forehead to stop blood flow. Abhi nodded his head.

He lifts Akshara in his arms and runs out of those bloody bushes. He runs as fast as he can from those thick bushes. Naira runs behind him, too. Abhi and Naira reached the highway quickly. "Aunty, there is a hospital nearby. We have to take her there only. I don't know how many more injuries she has". Naira agreed with him.

They reached the highway where Akshara's family was also present. Naira had already informed them that they had found Akshara. "Akshara! Mera bacha, what happened to her? Is she okay?" Panchi asked worriedly, looking at her sister's unconscious state. Sanjeev checked her pulse and found it slow.

"Her pulse rate is dropping. We have to take her to the hospital quickly", Sanjeev announced to everyone.

"Papa, take out the car. Her hospital is nearby only. There are many scratches on her body. We need to treat her soon", Ayushi informed her father. Everybody was quick to action. Sanjeev got into the driver's seat, and Abhi put Akshara at the backside. He sat with her only with her head on his lap. Right now, his main priority is Akshara only. He didn't give a damn what others think about this.  He is holding her hand tightly.

"Don't worry you will be alright?" he whispered.

Everyone settled down in Neil's car and quickly exited that retched highway. Abhi also informed his team about their whereabouts and issued them the next set of instructions.

They reached the hospital within minutes. Abhi whistled to the guard to get a stretcher. As Abhi put Akshara on the stretcher, he had a good look at her injuries. There were many scratches on her face, arms and hands. Her forehead is wrapped with Naira's scarf to stop the bleeding. Her only foot is also bleeding, probably from some injury.

When she was taken to the emergency ward, Abhi settled on the ground and took a big gulp of breath. So many questions are going on in his mind, but he is relieved that Akshara is safe and in front of him. Naira sat on the chair next to him, unconsciously caressing his hair. The same thoughts are going through her mind, too. She is happy that Akshara is safe, but this one-leg thing weighs her mind.

Her Akshu was healthy before she was taken away from them. Is she her daughter?

Everyone is in a grim mood. The Khannas are thinking about the mental impact of this incident on Akshara. She is already handling so much, and now this trauma is on her mind.

"Why does only our little bean have to suffer, papa? Now another trauma added to her life," Panchi questioned her father. Sanjeev has no answer to this question. He hugged his daughter, waiting for his little baby to recover. Ayushi also hugged them, crying for their little sister.

Naira jerked when she heard the word trauma. "What trauma are they talking about? Did she also face any situation like this in the past?" She thought.

Before she could ask anyone about this, Neil handed her the phone. She looked at him in confusion.

"Aunty, Kartik uncle is on call. He wants to talk to you", Neil told her.

Naira's eye got bigger. She had forgotten about Kartik. What will she say to him now? He will be so disappointed in her. He had already warned her to stay away from Akshara, and on the same day, she ignored his advice.
