Everything had stilled for the people of Shorefine pack.. Their Luna, who always stood strong for them, even until his last breath had passed away. A void is all that was left behind. The vampires, the ones who had survived had carefully retreated back to their kingdom, taking the opportunity of the fallen Luna.

A few of the vampires stayed back though. Just praying and hoping their Crown Prince would come back alive. Even if Namjoon was crowned as the prince after the abonishment of Prince Taehyung, the people of the Bloodline kingdom found it hard to accept anyone else. In their hearts, in their blood, in their mind, it would always be Taehyung.

One of them came forward, urging the other to wake up.

"Taehyung-ah, wake up. Why don't you wake up? Don't you see all the people willing for you to wake up? Do you want to let everyone down just like you did when leaving us all behind?" It was Kai. The vampire who was forced to leave his family behind, but also did it willingly knowing they would be in peace once the war is over.

The two had been good friends in the kingdom. Apart from Yoongi, the only other soul that the vampire brother had trusted was Kai. His lunatic friend is what the other used to call him.

He was cold, cold to everyone outside, but not to the kids and never to his friend either.

"Tae, please wake up. I will never scold you for your pranks again." This time it was Yoongi. The man who didn't kneel down for anyone, even when abonished alongside his brother. He now knelt down, beside the unmoving body of his brother as he held the other's hands in his. Pleading, begging him to wake up.

Looking up, his eyes running all over the place, he ordered someone to call Jimin in his frenzy. "His twin brother. I am sure Jimin would be able to help him wake."

Another information which was new to Jungkook. Usually, he would have questions swarming his mind about why his mate hid things from him still. But right now, he was simply sitting as if someone had paused him. Unmoving, blank face, almost looked dead himself.

Jimin, devastated by the news, his now five months baby bump bouncing dangerously as he ran to the ground where his twin lay lifeless. "Ice!" He commanded. Almost hoping his command will wake his brother from his endless slumber. But nothing changed, everything just stilled even more if it was possible.

"This can't be happening. Yoongi, Hobi, I only told you one thing and that was to keep Tae away from harm. Why would you take him to the war ground knowing the prophecy about him?" Jimin muttered, his words barely making through as he breaks into heavy sobs, almost choking on his tears.

Hoseok had to step forward and calm the other down, reminding the other about a second living being inside him. "I failed him as a brother. As a brother who vowed to protect him the moment I met him in the forest. I failed him." Yoongi also quietly broke down into sobs as the scene of his brother shifting in front of his eyes and moving to protect his mate kept coming in scene.

Just then a small boy pushed through the crowds, looking at everyone being sad almost as if mourning.

"Did anyone see my dad?" It was Jake. The small boy was searching for his fallen father, without realizing it for a while now and no one was ready to tell the small boy the truth. After all, everyone was mourning the death of their Luna along with their family member and no one knew how to tell a small boy about the loss either. They didn't know how to handle their own loss yet and how are they going to handle the small boy as well.
