The dense trees of the Mystic Jungle loomed ahead, their thick foliage casting long shadows that stretched over the dirt path. The air was heavy with the anticipation of a fight, the scent of damp earth mixing with the electric charge of tension. Elderich’s eyes narrowed as he surveyed the surroundings, feeling the thrill of battle coursing through him. His feet moved with purpose as he kept up with the others, his mind already sharpening its focus.

Silver’s telekinetic power was unmistakable in the distance, crackling with energy as it clashed against something—or someone—powerful. Elderich could hear the distant sound of rocks being thrown, followed by the unmistakable blast of energy colliding. The team quickened their pace, and soon they broke into a clearing, the source of the chaos becoming clearer.

Silver stood in the middle of a massive crater, his eyes glowing with psychic power as he faced off against a towering figure—a creature cloaked in dark armor, the air around him rippling with energy. Infinite. The masked villain’s form flickered like a mirage, his chaotic energy distorting the environment. His laugh echoed through the jungle, taunting Silver as they exchanged blows.

Silver: “You’ll pay for this, Infinite!”

Infinite scoffed, his laughter cold and mocking.

Infinite: “You think you can stop me? You, with your weak mind powers? I am beyond anything you can comprehend.”

Silver’s psychic blasts bounced harmlessly off Infinite’s shimmering forcefield. The villain’s speed and power were overwhelming, and Silver’s attacks seemed futile. It was clear that Silver was struggling to keep up.

Knuckles clenched his fists in frustration.

Knuckles: "Looks like he’s in trouble. We need to help him, now."

Sonic glanced at Elderich, his usual cocky grin on his face.

Sonic: “Alright, time to put that talk into action. You up for this, Elderich?”

Elderich didn’t respond right away, his eyes focused on the battle before him. He knew he was here to prove himself, but he also understood the need for teamwork. He could sense the negative energy still swirling within him, but he didn’t need the full force of the Negative Chaos Emeralds yet. He was more than capable on his own.

Elderich: “I’ll show you how it’s done.”

Without hesitation, he sprinted forward, moving with speed and precision, his every step leaving a slight mist of frost in its wake. Sonic followed suit, his trademark speed making him a blur as he dashed past Elderich. But it was Elderich’s strategic thinking that allowed him to take the lead.

Silver, sensing the backup, turned his head in surprise. He was still struggling to hold his ground against Infinite, but he gave a grateful nod.

Silver: “I didn’t think we’d have backup so soon.”

Elderich’s icy gaze never wavered as he readied himself. He could feel the pressure mounting, but his mind was clear. He was ready for anything.

As Sonic and Elderich closed the distance, Infinite finally took notice of the new hedgehog. His eyes, glowing with malice from behind his mask, narrowed as he observed Elderich. There was something different about this hedgehog—an aura of power that he hadn't sensed before. It felt cold, to his point of view, Elderich was covered in blood with a sadistic grin plaster on his face.

Infinite: “Who are you? Another… hedgehog? What is it with your kind always interfering with my plans?”

Elderich’s lips curled into a smirk as he met Infinite’s gaze. The question was like a challenge, but Elderich knew how to answer it.
