Astro Bot

I wake up, and as I look around, I can see a starry night sky as I float. No, it's not night. I'm...in outer space. I can't even see Earth from here. 

Where am I? Why am I here? Have I been...sucked inside of the game? I have to be. If I was in space, I would be seeing the planets of the solar system

I remember the letter, telling me to look for a spaceship that looks like a PS5. I can see the spaceship fly past me, and I hear some robot music play. Were those...the tiny robots Grandma was talking about?

It told me to look for the captain of the ship. I scream as loud as I can, and suddenly, the spaceship does a 360 turn, and a pair of digital blue eyes appear. They seem to eye me with curiosity.

In front of me, I see a small white robot, with blue accents all over him. This must be the captain of the ship. He looks...kinda cute...

I wave at him, and he cutely waves back at me, as he can only speak in chirps, as do his other robot friends.

Next, I signal, asking to jump inside the ship. All the robots huddle together as if for a group meeting. After a couple minutes, the captain robot gestures me inside as a flight of stairs emerge from the ship.

The ship is much bigger on the inside than the outside. The captain gestures me toward him, letting me sit right beside him. I can see the ship is in autopilot mode.

Suddenly, all the robots give gigantic shocked faces, to my confusion as the PS5 ship screeches to a halt. Are we in danger?

I look ahead of us, and a gigantic green space alien looks at us with an evil smile. This must be the captain's enemy. He reaches inside the PS5 ship, and steals the CPU of the ship, and puts it inside his saucer.

The alien zaps the PS5 ship, and all the important components it needs to function (including the cover) are sent flying into space. It crash lands on what looks like a desert planet with only sand on it.

I slowly climb out of the ship, pushing and shoving my way through the broken parts, and find the captain.

The captain is deactivated, his screen cracked and broken, as only static flickers on his screen. I see a small white and blue PS5 controller stuck in the sand. I grab on it, and with enough force, yank it free, and shake all the sand out of it.

The controller uses some sort of magic, brings the captain toward it, and put the robot inside of it, and yanks it out again as the captain is back to life.

He looks at me with happiness. Is he relived to see I'm okay?

"Soooo...my Grandmother told me to find you?" I ask, not knowing what's going on.

The captain nods in response.

"You were expecting me? How can you communicate with humans?" I ask, still confused. "Where am I? How do I get out of this universe?"

The captain shrugs his shoulders. Oh great. Not only am I stuck with this robot, but I also don't know how to get home. Just wonderful.

"What's your name? I'm Emilie." I say, extending my hand.

The robot shakes my hand, and suddenly my hand heats up. What was that for? He points to the stars, then himself.

"Astro Bot?" I ask, randomly guessing.

Astro Bot gives a cheer of happiness.

We look over, and can see a satellite dish has crashed on a piles of rocks. As we are at the pile of rocks, we come to halt. There is jump that no human could ever make.

Astro grabs my hand, and he uses lasers coming out of his feet to hover across the platform. That looks nifty. I also see coins, which I pick up and put into my purse, in case we need them.

Astro and I punch the satellite, freeing it. It picks up a signal, and gestures up to it. Astro whistles, and the controller comes over, and gets rocket hovers, meaning we can travel through space with it.

So, even though I got lost in space and must help this captain, which might help me return home, there is a silver lining. I have made a friend.

Astro gestures me over, inviting me to join in. I hop on the controller, and we take off for a new adventure.
