My fingers press into the side of my phone, silencing the notifications that have been blowing up my phone for the past few hours. Initially, the effort to reach me surprised me and I ended up checking every single little pop-up.

Then, when I noticed it was Matteo every single time, I opted to ignore him.

Natalia- the name I learned belonged to the grumpy blonde- had left a few hours ago, claiming she had better things to do than listen to Auriela and I "gossip about useless and gross boys."

In the few hours I've known her, I've grown to accept her attitude. Though I know she has some feud with Alex, they're quite similar in that regard. And if I can deal with him as well as he-who-shall-not-be-named, I can easily handle her.

"So," Auriela pipes up, and the nervousness in her voice easily tells me she's hesitant. "What did he do? I mean, I know he's an asshole, but I kind of thought you were used to that and all."

When I think back on his words, my chest aches. But more than that, my brain clouds over with anger and disappointment. The most unfortunate part? I was disappointed more so in myself than him. I was used to being talked down to in the way he did, degradation greets me at the front door when I go home to my father. I was more ashamed with the fact that I had allowed him to talk to me that way.

When I learned I was being sent away, I accepted it with minimal fight, because I knew, deep down, I could use this as a chance to change myself. I promised I wouldn't let people walk over me the way students did at my old school.

All my intentions of doing just that were immediately thrown out when I came across a certain asshole whose name starts with 'M' and ends with 'atteo,'

I offered Auriela a one shouldered shrug, an attempt of feigning nonchalance. "Threw some insults, basically implied whatever reason I'm here and not with my family is my own fault and due to my stupid decisions." I summarize for her.

She gaped at me in response. "That boy said what?" Her face twisted up into a scowl. "I swear to god," she pounds her fist into her hand, "when I get ahold of that fucker."

My face pulls into a weak smile, amused by her antics. "It's okay, truly, I just really don't want to face him right now." I sigh. "It's embarrassing enough he saw me cry."

"That's not embarrassing, I just hope he's feeling some right guilt right now," she grumbles. Just then, like a lightbulb, her face lights up. "Oh em gee! You should totally just stay here!"

I blink. "What do you mean? Like a double sleepover?"

"Like a triple sleepover! Or quadruple, or quintuple, or sextuple-"
