Alucard's breath hitched as his eyes fluttered open. For a moment, he couldn't place the softness that brushed against his cheek-the unfamiliar sensation of warmth pressed close to him. It all came rushing back as he turned slightly, his golden gaze landing on Y/N, still peacefully asleep beside him. Her E/C eyes were closed, her H/C hair spilled across the shared bedding like a halo.

He froze, unsure of whether to stay or move, afraid the slightest shift might stir her. Something about her serenity stirred a strange comfort within him-a contrast to his usual guarded vigilance. Before he could decide, Y/N stirred, her body shifting closer to his in half-conscious instinct.

The haze of sleep lifted slowly for her, realizing her position nestled against Alucard. Her hand was still resting against his chest, and his arm was draped protectively over her waist. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment as she realized just how close they were. She dared to look up at him, only to find his golden eyes already open and watching her, wide with his own surprise.

"Ah... good morning," Y/N managed, attempting to shift away quickly, only to find Alucard mirroring her movements, both of them fumbling and bumping into each other as they disentangled. It was an awkward dance of apologies and averted gazes until they settled back on opposite sides of the bed.

As they sat on opposite sides of the bed, hearts still pounding from the closeness they'd shared, Y/N felt an unfamiliar warmth. She barely noticed her fingers brushing over the corner of the blanket, the comforting scent of him lingering in the air.

"I... apologize if I made you uncomfortable," Alucard said softly, glancing down at his hands. His usually composed demeanor was slightly rattled, making him seem endearingly vulnerable.

Y/N shook her head, her H/C hair falling over her shoulder. "No need to apologize. It was... nice, actually. Comforting," she admitted, her voice hesitant but sincere.

Alucard smiled faintly at that, his expression softening. "I felt the same," a small, amused smile tugging at his lips. "Did you sleep well?"

She crossed her arms, aiming for nonchalance to mask the blush in her cheeks. "Until I woke up with a six-foot furnace pressed against me, yeah."

Alucard chuckled, the sound soft yet sincere, breaking through the awkward tension. "Consider it an unintended survival mechanism." His eyes glinted with humor, though there was a lingering warmth to them.

There was a moment of quiet, and then Y/N chuckled nervously. "Still, waking up tangled like that was definitely... unexpected."

Alucard gave a small laugh, the sound low and warm. "Yes, unexpected indeed."

The mood began to lighten, and Y/N glanced at him thoughtfully. "So, Alucard, what's the plan for today?" she asked playfully, trying to steer them into more familiar territory.

Alucard raised a brow, his expression turning mock-serious. "Adrian," he repeated slowly, as though testing the name. Then he shook his head. "Don't call me Alucard-not anymore."

Y/N blinked, surprised by the sudden shift in his tone. "What?"

"Adrian," he said simply, his golden gaze locking onto hers. "After last night... I think I'd like to hear you say my real name more. I liked the way it sounded when you said it. It's something I haven't heard in such a long time... it feels more... me.""

A soft blush crept onto Y/N's cheeks, but she smiled, warmth spreading in her chest. "Adrian it is, then."

"Thank you," he murmured, his gaze holding hers a moment longer than necessary before he finally rose. "Come, we have work to do."
