„Spill. Everything!" Sam demanded with a small shout, her eyes still wide as she looked at me with a grin.
When I told my two friends about my conclusion that there's a way to bring Dominik back, Sam grabbed both of our hands quickly and dragged us back toher truck.
„Wait a fucking minute. So, this Dominik is one of your soulmates, who's dead, by the way, and stalking you?" Faith rapidly looked around us, as if searching for something, or rather someone. I couldn't help but stifle a laugh at the action. "Is he here right now?" She whisper-shouted, glancing at me and then around us carefully.
"Dumbass! There's no way Lena could know—or do you? Actually, can you see him right now if you saw him yesterday? Is your soulmate hot?!" Samara asked loudly each time, getting her face closer to mine with a flabbergasted look coating her expression.
I backed off with a tight, fake smile until I hit the window while picking at the skin of my fingers. „O..kay, guys, calm down. Uh, I don't know how to start; it's pretty overwhelming."
Sam slowly returned to her position in her driver's seat, looking at me with eyes full of curiosity. "Look, just start telling us whatever you are comfortable with firstly." Faith reassured me while getting comfortable in her seat in the back.
„When Hayley attacked me, I fought back. Or actually tried. She had a much stronger grip than mine, so there wasn't really much to do in my case, you know. But—" I stopped mid-sentence with a sigh while closing my eyes, trying to remember the events exactly as they were.
„But then, I gripped her arm, and—and I felt like there was something going on inside me, and it felt pretty damn good. But Hayley shouted in response and scurried off as quick as the wind. And—and then Dominik suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and he told me that my powers bring him back only so that he can see me when I'm siphoning—oh yes, apparently I'm a siphoner too, whatever that means!"
I stuttered over my words, my vision blurry as I choked a sob. I buried my head into my hoodie, not being able to hold my tears anymore.
I felt my body being engulfed in an embrace by Sam and Faith. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry that I'm acting like a crybaby right now, but I just, I want to see him again, and I need to bring him back, and—and I don't know why it affects me when I just met him for the first time yesterday."
Sam patted my back while gripping me harder. „You know, it actually makes sense that you are a siphoner. You didn't present as a witch for so long that I and Grams had to basically tell you." She chuckled gloomily.
„I'll try my best to help you bring your soulmate back. Even though there might not be much for me to do, since I'm basic." Faith adds with a chuckle, making me snort in response.
„We! Can't believe that you forgot me!" Sam huffed, looking at Faith with a pout as she punched her arm. I raised my head with a smile slowly to look at the two of them bickering. I knew they were trying to make me cheer up; it was kind of obvious.
