As Shadow stood at the edge of the forest, watching the mist roll down the mountainside, his communicator buzzed in his hand. With a swift motion, he activated it, bringing it to his ear. Nazo’s voice came through, calm and commanding, as always.

"Shadow, what’s the situation? Have you found Y/N yet?" Nazo's voice crackled with authority, demanding an update.

Shadow’s eyes narrowed, his usual stoic expression not betraying any emotion. "Not yet, My King. They’ve managed to evade capture for now. The group is more resourceful than I anticipated. Y/N is with Sonic, Knuckles, and some others. They've been hiding in a nearby cave. I’m still tracking them, but they’ve managed to slip through my grasp."

Nazo’s tone grew colder, tinged with annoyance. "I want Y/N found. Now. Do whatever it takes, Shadow. If they refuse to cooperate, you know what to do."

Shadow clenched his fist, his usual unwavering loyalty to Nazo clearly present, but there was a flicker of doubt in his eyes. He respected Nazo’s power, but the way things were unfolding... it was becoming more complicated.

"I understand," Shadow replied, masking the flicker of hesitation in his voice. "I’ll find them. I won’t fail you."

Nazo’s voice softened, though the underlying threat still lingered. "You better not, Shadow. If you do... there will be consequences. I expect results."

The communicator clicked off, and the screen went dark. Shadow stood still for a moment, staring into the distance. He had a mission to complete, and failure was not an option. But there was something about this Y/N and the resistance she was building that made him question just how far his loyalty would be tested.

With a determined exhale, Shadow turned and headed toward the cave once again, his Knights following close behind, ready to continue their relentless search. Y/N wouldn’t be able to escape much longer.

Meanwhile, back at Bliss' hidden home, the team was preparing for the next phase of their journey. Little did they know, Shadow was closing in on them, and their struggle against Nazo was about to become much more dangerous.

As you and your group approached a clearing, they were startled by a strange, almost ethereal glow in the distance. As they neared, a small, glowing creature emerged from the shadows. At first glance, it looked innocent—like a tiny, playful ball of light. However, something about it felt off, as if the creature wasn’t entirely what it seemed.

Before anyone could react, the little Chaos creature shifted. Its body pulsed with an unsettling energy, and its glowing form began to distort, revealing rows of sharp, glowing teeth and eyes that gleamed with an insatiable hunger. The once harmless-looking creature had become something far more dangerous.

"Watch out!" You shouted, as the creature let out a feral hiss and lunged forward. Its small body moved with surprising speed, its glowing shape a blur as it swarmed toward them with a predatory growl.

Sonic was the first to react, dodging nimbly as the creature snapped its jaws just inches from him. "What is this thing?!" he shouted, barely avoiding another attack.

The little Chaos, now resembling a vicious swarm of glowing energy, snapped its teeth relentlessly, as if driven purely by hunger. It darted around them, attacking with wild abandon. Its small size made it unpredictable and difficult to track as it zipped between the trees, its movements too fast to follow.

"Stay back!" You ordered, instinctively taking a step forward to protect your friends. "It’s not like the Chaos we know! This thing... it’s been corrupted!"

Knuckles growled, readying his fists. "Perfect. Just what we needed. A tiny monster with a bad attitude."

The creature, still glowing, lunged again. Knuckles swung his fists, knocking it back momentarily, but it quickly recovered and came back with even more ferocity. It seemed relentless, like a swarm of piranhas, only this time it was a small creature fueled by pure hunger and chaos.

You tightened your grip on your weapon/fists quickly calculating your next move. "We need to trap it somehow—before it wears us out."

Sonic sprinted in front of you, trying to lead the creature away. "I'll keep it distracted. You figure out a plan!" He darted to the side, using his speed to confuse the creature, but it wasn’t enough to stop it. The little Chaos was relentless, snapping and attacking anything in its path.

You glanced at Knuckles, who was still fending it off. "We can't keep this up forever!"

The creature charged forward once more, its glowing form a blur of hunger and fury. It snapped at Sonic’s heels as he barely dodged, but this time, You were ready. You used your weapons/powers, forcing the creature back with a pulse of energy.

"Get back!" You shouted, standing your ground. The creature hesitated for a moment, but its hunger soon got the best of it, and it dove at you again.

It would take every bit of their teamwork and quick thinking to subdue this chaos-driven creature before it overwhelmed them completely.

After narrowly escaping the chaotic little creatures, You and the group breathed a sigh of relief. They didn’t waste any time, knowing that their mission still needed to continue. The next stop was to find Amy, a skilled collector who knew all about rare and valuable items, and Rouge, a stealthy ninja who had a knack for stealing important tools and gadgets that could be useful in their fight against Nazo.

You and the group, still shaken from their encounter with the Chaos, continued their journey. Their mission was clear: they needed to find Amy and Rouge. They hadn’t made much progress yet, but they knew they couldn’t afford to waste time.

“So, where exactly do we find Rouge?” Sonic asked, eyeing you. His voice still held a hint of hesitation, as he was unsure of everything around him.

You nodded. "Rouge’s good at sneaking around and getting important items. We need her to steal some tools from places she’s familiar with—things that could help us fight Nazo." You glanced over at Knuckles, who had been unusually quiet. "I’m sure she can handle whatever we need."

Knuckles scoffed slightly, eyes darting to the side. “I don’t care about her stealing. As long as she gets the job done.”

You nodded in agreement but still felt unsure of how they were going to track her down, considering they didn’t know much about where she’d be or even if she would help. "I just hope she’ll be willing to help us."

Sonic scratched his head. "How are we supposed to find her, though? For all we know, she could be anywhere."

"We’ve got to figure it out,” You said, determination in your voice. "Let’s just keep moving."

---

Hours passed as the group ventured through the forests and rugged terrain. They searched for any sign of Rouge, but no luck. Your mind raced—if you couldn’t find her soon, the chances of getting the tools they needed were slim. You couldn’t risk failing now.

You and the others had been searching for Rouge for a while, but they still hadn't found her. They were tired, frustrated, and growing a bit desperate as they traveled through the dense forest.

Unbeknownst to them, Rouge had been keeping her distance, carefully watching them from afar. She was aware of their search, but she didn't recognize them, and she certainly didn't feel any allegiance to them. Her mind was foggy, her memories wiped clean just like everyone else's, and she had her own reasons for staying hidden.
